Wow photobucket murders the picture quality...
Anyway, I'm gone until Sunday at the earliest.

Could you tell me more about your ethanol blend? We were talking about it a little, definitely interesting.

Ehh I guess it's to be expected with the holiday and all.

As far as to my fuel blend, it's done for a few reasons. (warning, this might be a little long winded.. lol)

#1 reason for me is my fueling limitations. The LNF engine uses a direct injection fuel delivery system instead of the "standard" port style fuel delivery system. This style system uses a "low pressure" intake fuel pump (normal 45-50psi regulated pressure) that feeds a high pressure fuel pump (250-2400psi) located on the engine that is mechanically driven via a cam lobe on the intake cam. This high pressure fuel pump is one of the biggest limiting factors here. In high load mid range rpm areas the fuel pump has a diffcult time maintaining commanded fuel pressure when it comes to dealing with the high fuel demands that e85 requires. Running a blend like e47 allows me to run a much leaner stoichiometric ration hense putting MUCH less strain on the fueling system. There are some after market solutions to help the issue, but that sort of brings me to my next reason..

Seeing as how e85 isn't eactly readily available in the area, it can be a pain in the ass to keep my tank full. How I get around this is by using a 35 gallon storage take with a handy dandy fuel pump on it to pump fuel as I need. So now with me running an e47 blend which is a 1:1 mix of e85 and e10 93, my 10 gallons of e85 can now be cut into 20 gallons of e47. Plus by using a storage take, it allows me to keep a super close eye on my blends seeing as how the e85 blend coming out of the pump and the gas stations can be anywhere from e70-e85 depending on the time of the year and even from station to station. A 15% change in an ethanol blend can cause havoc with the ecm and eventually causes much more of a headache than mixing a controled blend of fuel every time like I do. Here's my storage tank setup that I use.

My final reason is basically power.... or the lack in difference in power potential when going over an e47 blend as compared to straight e85. The octane difference in e47 and e85 is literally a .1-.2, so needless to say it minescule.

Sorry again if it was a tad long winded, there is just alot to cover here.

That's a pretty sweet rig you have there.
So I know that the actual octane of e85 vs e47 isn't a big difference, but isn't the real benefit of e85 the heat dissipation properties that go along with spraying so much of it?

When I had the TVS Regal on the dyno and made 374 on winter blend (tested at e60 ) it didn't feel nearly as fast as it did when the ethanol blend started getting 'better'.

Oh and stop being so modest about beating me! the car isn't fast YET lol. I lost to a GTO last night by about a car from 40-120, he ran a 12.4 @ 114. So I'm not making big numbers right now. It is just a matter of changing out the waste gate spring from the 7.5 to the 13 though, it'll go like hell as each psi should net 25ish whp. But then spinach trans

Damnit I just saw this. I don't really come on here every day so try shooting me a PM (I get an instant email notification on my phone that way) if you're looking to meet up sorta last minute. I honestly would have been all for meet up yesterday if I knew. Do you have anything going on either Wednesday or Thursday evening?

welp to start

GMR spec port and polish, supertech dual coil valve springs, neutral balance shafts, new timing chain/tensioner, ported throttle body, honing sleeves, forged pistons, oem headgasket, arp studs, BRFPR, 80s, TVS, more meth, retune.

Also would like to replace front mount setup with a griffen, know those are hard to come by tho, so dont really plan on that one, but if something comes up then yes ill grab for sure.

Also looking to hub swap, and have a wheel setup I havnt seen anyone use yet. Hoping to maybe do that part at least by spring.

Looking for 400whp, and 2-3 years build time.

Sounds awesome! Have you seen this heat exchanger as an alternative to the griffen?

So this h/e replaces the stock one correct? Then would you still be able to get the zzp s3 h/e as well?

With a h/e that large there's no real reason to use it in conjunction with the s3. You sorta need to cosider flow limitations of the stock pump with being able to flow enough fluid to keep cooling efficiency up with that much extra fluid and that much area to move it through.

I have the ZZP S3 with stock h/e and it stays pretty cool, usually 20 degrees warmer than outside air temp when cruising on highway. Also pretty quick to cool after a pull.
