Workin on it foo!

Oh yeah! I have no idea why it was running 24 psi the other night, cause today it wasn't even hitting 17 psi. So yeah, I'm at a loss there.

No it wasn't the gauge, cause that night it was reading the same vacuum and part throttle boost as it was today. Just at WOT it was different.

Anywho, I didn't have time to get the good camera out so I just used my phone. 8200 rpm in first gear, then it was pulling so hard in second it just smashed the 7200 limiter in 2nd

Yuck. You need a new exhaust ASAP!

BTW, why the different rev limiters for the different gears?

My exhaust is a Pacesetter header, and 3" catless mandrel bent, with TWO magnaflow resonators, and one large magnaflow muffler. There is literally no more room in the piping to fit more mufflers

Seriously, its a fully build motor, with crazy ported head, and radical cams. It moves a lot of air.

Lots of air = Lots of sound

Also, I just wanted to hit 8200 rpm, its still too hot outside to run through 8000 rpm in 2nd gear or higher. Its still over 100 degrees outside, and my IAT1 is already over 110 degrees.

When you get some money chop off that magnaflow and weld one of these on and run a dual cutout setup(one on the DP and one after the second resonator) http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

I had the setup that you do now before i switched to the above and it drove me nuts

I'll pass. I don't mind the exhaust at all. It sounds pretty good considering its a full race exhaust.

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/C...bys_104050.htm

Thats the same exhaust, only considerably quieter and 1200 rpm less... DAMN!!!! Imagine the blower whine at 8200!?!?!

I remember the vid. I made my exhaust the same as yours because i liked how it sounded. It was okay for a month or so, but driving on the long trips that i do it got to be to much. Thats when i put my loud on a switch

Alright so last night I took it out for some more scanning. Found out 2 things.

#1 That M62 ******* sucks ass. Even with the 2.6" on there, it makes peak boost of 17 psi at around 5300 rpm, then it starts dropping, and by 8200 rpm its only at 14 psi. What a piece of **** But who didn't know that already. I knew it was shitty, but I didn't know my motor would so heavy over power the blower. Before, it would make peak boost at redline, I figured it would at least hold boost til redline, or at least 7000 rpm!

#2 My clutch is now fucked up. I have no idea what happened, or even WHEN it happened, but my clutch is pretty fucked. When the clutch is slipping (leaving in 1st gear, shifting into second), it sounds like your scraping a rake on the side of the car. This horrible grinding sound, but as soon at the clutch is either fully engaged, or fully disengaged, it makes no noise, and it still works, I shift with no problem, I don't understand it!!!

No! The opposite actually! If it blew, then it would hold boost to redline!!!

I am just gonna deal with whatever fucked up. The motor is still fine, runs great still, just the damn clutch. **** if I can't figure out whats wrong, I'll just drive it as it, until the clutch lights on fire or something. I'm almost at the weird twitchy smiling point of anger, ya know when people do really stupid stuff...

Its most likely the throwout bearing. The clutch still grips just fine, and fully disengages. It just makes a nasty grinding sound when I let the clutch out in first gear. It still shifts fine and everything.

what clutch do you have? btw there was a local car down here with a bad throwout bearing that made a grinding sound.
