Isn't that a tricked out Chevy Beat? Look at the headlights and compare them with the teaser pics of the Beat, looks very similiar.

I wish gm would come out with a small awd powerful turbo car. Something under 2500lbs and a lnf, like the beat or hell even an aveo hatch that they have out now would be fine for me.

I don't know why they didn't in the first place! That car would have been kick ass.

^^^Isn't that the WTCC?

edit: Here's more info. That car is over 3 years old. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...%3Den%26sa%3DG

The new WTCC will, unfortunately, look like the Cruze.

Unless you plan on having only one seat and a sheet metal interior I would highly doubt that is possible for a production car.

Besides what is up with all of the AWD fanatics we have here? When it comes to AWD it in a sense is a smaller niche than having a rwd car. The only way all wheel drive is useful is for people who race with magazines.

How do you figure that? You could make like a 2 door aveo and with full interior it could meet or beat the 2500lbs mark with the lnf type engine and awd.

People like all wheel drive because it works. Traction is no issue and no need for drag radials or slicks. Every platform has there down fall, but in drag racing you can't get much better than a turbo awd out of the box. At least when you are talking 4cyl cars.

Maybe to remind someone, like a newbie, how dismal Chevy's future looks..... how long before they drop (sell off) Corvette and bag the Camaro cuz they actually have to discount even hot looking sheet metal ? (and fiberglass/carbon fiber)

I work right near a Chevy dealership and I test drove one of the base model Cruze's they have. It handles pretty well. It of course doesn't hang with the Colbalt SS. I'd deff be interested in driving a Cruze SS if they ever come out with one. It still won't be the same as a coupe but oh well. How ever, the interior was pretty appealing, they deff are on the right track there.
