i know its somewhere in this thread but i'm not going through 33 pages. even searched. lol.
does installing your own stage 2 kit void the factory warranty?
do you have to buy it from the dealer? and do they have to install it?

warranty caution
I have some friends who have installed the stage 2 and dealers have said it is under warranty. but when one blew some pistons, they read the computer and it told them when he blew the piston, he was at 6500 rpm and he said there was a clause in the warranty that said rpm is limited to 5000 rpms. Don't know how reliable his resource is, but read the fine print!!! or do it and buy it from your dad.
GM lost contract with Eaton. they were the suppliers with the Supercharger.

I need Stage 2 calibration file name for SS 2005. Does anybody know?
"12607644 05 Cobalt SS" - it's manual or file number (found it on first page)?
Sorry for my English please

Im not sure if this was already said but if you do have a stage II kit on the car and youre really handing it to the car and going all out, there were a few cases where the axle had broke under the pressure. easy fix is to get a torque dampener its a few bucks yeah but sure as hell beats buying a new axle and all the labor charges. Hope all was helpful

you need the anit wheep hop/TC mounts and new axles from DSS or GMPP
^x2
i snapped an axle twice.. it has nothing to do with gms2 or stock.. its from wheel hop.. and no a TD wont fix it... I got ottp stage 1 trans mounts and a ttr solid motor mount.. now i have no more wheel hop
and you dont need new axles, thats if you plan to go for more power or track the car alot..

you want an easy fix or the right fix? thats what will depend on how much.. I got my ottp trans mounts and with the stock motor mount i had zero hop..i put on the ttr solid motor mount just to be on the safe side. the ttr solid mount gets rid of the need for a TD, but the trans mounts are the correct way to fix hop
Stage 1 gave me excellent gas mileage (esp. after custom tune), but the power difference wasn't very noticeable. Stage 2 gave my car enough power that I could tell a difference, but the gas mileage suffers a bit during the summer (heavy foot? lol). I miss the gas mileage a bit only b/c I baby the car and don't care for much power now. lol It's just my daily driver. GM's tune is a bit rich, so I would recommend having reputable tuner help you out. Over the Top Performance has great stage kits and crateenginedepot.com has GM's stage kits at a great price.

So could I just order stage 2 and install that myself? ( I am a GM tech
) Or do I have to do stage 1 first? I am confused too, becuase the price for stage2 is a little over 500, while stage one is a little over 300, with stage 1-2 being a little over 300 as well. SO therefore it almost seems better to just buy stage 2 by itself.
I know its here somewhere but my internet sucks and it takes too long to search through 33 pages can anyone tell me the cheapest stage 2?? and also the price for the gm dealership stage 2??? best place>??
thanks alot ----- SS Rock!!!
