good time at the track

Me and a friend went out to san antonio raceway tonight.... nice weather around 68f, hardly any wind, and hardly any people. So it was a good night to see what the car would do with the 2.8in pulley.

Well first run was bad lol.... kinda underestimated the power and peeled out almost half the way down the track.

next 3 or 4 runs I launched at 2k rpm and got some wheel spin and got 14.2 passes with 2.3 60ft times.

then I let my friend do a couple of passes and well he weighs about 100lbs less than me(250lbs) and he made a 14.09 run witha 2.25 60ft.

Then I made one final run and got a 14.18 witha 2.27 60ft

Now my question, since my tires are pretty old.... when my new ones come in, and I get some traction mods(solid motor, and tranny mounts, traction bars) Can I see high 13's

here are three runs from last night
1st run: is a 14.2 run vs. a RX7, I barely beat him by .2

another run: 14.09 run, fastest of the night

and the first run of the night: 15.4, couldn't get traction at all lol...forgot to lower tire pressure

Yea man, 13's def possible. You are auto tranny correct? My first pass ever at the track was in my 2.4sc 5 spd, went 13.80/2.16 60 in the heat of summer on 3.0 pulley. 2.8 should def make up for any of your AT losses. Just take it EASY on the throttle coming out!

yeah I'm automatic.... I guess I need to play with my launches some more. I'm revving it up to 2k rpm, then when its time to go, I let off the gas and let it go, and then put the pedal all the way down.

When you get new tires, make sure to go 225 or wider. Def helps with the traction...

put some stickier tires on that bad boy, hold the brake, stomp the gas, then release the brake and hold on.
