Help..

alright so i realized my passenger side speaker is blown so i was wondering what my options are to replace the two 6.5 inch speakers in the front (might as well do both). I'm a complete noob when it comes to number of watt speakers to get, and all that other stuff, but wiring cant be too complicated so ill handle it if explained

I do have the 7 speaker pioneer system

I obviously only want a speaker that is going to be comparable (or better) to what the pioneers put out, but i dont wanna be paying 200 bucks for speakers.

Any opinions would be a great help! Thanks!

As far as wattage goes, most decent 6.5's will not even be stressed by the output of the OEM Pioneer system. Luckily for you, mounting is easy since you don't have to hack up the stock brackets or get aftermarket brackets since you have the pioneer setup.

As far as wiring goes, easy as hell. You can easily get front speaker wire harnesses that use the OEM connector so you don't have to splice.

There is a good amount of room in the door for speakers, so clearance shouldn't be a problem. As far as brand, it really depends on how much you're looking to spend.

Make it easy on yourself. First of all, as already stated you have the 7 Speaker Pioneer system... so the install is super easy and it's super easy to find how to's.

Second, since you already have Pioneer, I'd stick with pioneer.

Third, I suggest you use Crutchfield. Not only do they send you the instructions, but they give you a wiring harness for the cobalt. That means all you do is unplug the old speaker, plug the new wiring harness in, and plug that into the new speaker. Simple and easy for those who have never done this before.

So here you go:
How-To:
If you have door cranks: https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-guide-43/how-remove-window-cranks-63173/

The rest of the door: https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-guide-43/front-door-speaker-install-w-pics-179593/

Pioneer 6 1/2 Speakers:

Free Wiring Harness:
(free when purchasing speakers on Crutchfield, make sure to specify your vehicle)

Suggested Tool:
Door Crank Remover, $6 at auto zone, checker, local car shop.

Feel free to PM me if you need help. I've done this many, many times in my car.

first off lorenwade, it says they dont have the harness i need for my model when i click that link(??)... n i would rather purchase in a store just cuz i dont got those fancy things people call credit cards (i only 17), but not 100% opposed to online i guess. thanks for the help though

and secondly emperor, is there a certain store you can buy these infinity speakers at? or is online the best way to go?
