Ouch...looks like that took some hard slippage, maybe during your burn out. That clutch looks like it went threw hell, i dont think i put down the same power, and i haven't run slicks ,but when i pulled my oem clutch with 60kmiles on it and 100s off trips down the track with years of abuse it didnt look that bad, just alittle glazed. There would have had to be some excessive slippage and heat build up to cause that kind of damage.
i wouldn't say that's going to happen to all of them, its pretty much the same clutch in the lnf cobalt and looks at the power some of them make ...better yet look at the TQ they are making. ether you got a defective clutch ,bad install,or nasty abuse.

Full slicks, major even, track prep was excellent.

Clutch still held even broken, you just couldn't shift above 3k, and couldn't down shift without rev matching.

Great clutch for street tires, I wouldn't recommend it for race tires though.

If i were you I would go with a clutchmasters stage 4. For the difference in cash it will hold up to anything you could ever throw at it. I love it ever day driving and it's an animal on the strip.

Would this matchup to the fidenza flywheel?

And should I upgrade to a fidenza or keep the stock flywheel?

It should match up, I don't know why it wouldn't. If/when I get it I'll probably just resurface my stock flywheel.

I just ordered it today and it is already in the mail. I want to resurface my flywheel by I also want to upgrade to a fidenza... is it worth the money? That much more of a gain?

gmpp clutch upgrade is designed to work with the stock flywheel. just get your stock one resurfaced for $30 and call it a day

It comes with a new TOB (throw-out bearing)

Yeah I realize that, but do you have to buy a master cylinder for the clutch in addition to the clutch purchase or do you just bleed/reuse the stock unit?

Iirc I remember people saying you have to replace the master unit or else the old one will leak down the road.

That I don't know. I'm seeing a buddy tomorrow who just had the GMPP clutch installed so I can ask him when I see him.
