SS/TC's broke in HOLY @#$%
I've had those BIOS batteries go out before too. Man, wouldn't that stink when one day you go out to start your car and your ECM programming disappeared overnight because the small battery went out?
No bueno.
No bueno.
He he .... it's more like firmware , it isn't going anywhere until you flash it.... power or no power. Remember the old eprom's or worse yet prom's . Eprom's you could flash , prom's you had to replace.
I was actually reading up on the history and types of memory several months back now. What's interesting too is that the memory is getting so cheap/fast/low power now that they're seeing if it's going to eventually replace the hard drive. The $/GB is still a bit too high right now though to make it very feasible. It seems to be great for those small laptops though. Power savings and shock resistance too. I wish they had more capacity in those though.
Wow.. I feel like I've completely thread jacked this.
dont think i did it right...
had the two terminals in the trunk removed and touched each for around 10 secs...
started the car up... all radio stations are still intact? most of the system's setting are still there and not
reset... ??
