Ariel Atom with Hahn super20G turbo conversion
Bill suggested I make a separate post about this so here it is. I'm about a week away from finishing my super20G conversion for the LSJ in an Ariel Atom. A bunch of former Brammo Ariel Atom engineers at Unique Fabricating in Oregon are finishing my build. They race cobalts too so I'd recommend them to you guys.
Originally it was a 300hp supercharged LSJ but unfortunately due to poor supercharger cooling it would heat soak pretty quickly on the track and loose a ton of power. So being half crazy already I decided to turbocharge it. Then decided to go a little crazy and turbocharge with with high compression, race gas and methanol injection. Then somewhere down the line I lost all concept of reality and did quite a bit more upgrades than planned but oh well
Thanks to Bill Hahn for helping me out and putting together a custom kit pretty quickly for me. He's a good guy!
Here are the list of most of the upgrades (I think):
Engine:
* Crower rods
* Arias custom pistons 10:1
* upgraded valves and ferrea valve springs
* cometic gasket
* ARP head studs
* balance shaft elimination kit
Turbo
* Hahn intake manifold.
* Hahn Racecraft turbo kit super 20G with custom exhaust manifold
* TTS intercooler build just for the Atom
* heat dispersant coating added to intercooler
Methanol injection
* Perrin Performance wi kit. plan to run 49%51% meth/ water
* custom stainless 2 gallon tank
Clutch
* Exedy hyper single kit.
ECU
* I have a stock cobalt ECU working with HP tuners.
Fuel System
* Walbro GSS342 high pressure fuel pump
* return flow system with aeromotive fuel regulator and filter
* 71 lbs injectors
Paddle shifter
* www.mastershift.com (works with the cobalt transmission)
Exhaust
* 3" custom with edelbrock repackable muffler
Here are some random pics:

Hey! Those rods look familiar!
Dude, if you built the motor, why didn't you go with the GT35R kit? That would be stupidly insane. 600 whp @ 1300 lbs!?!? OMFG IT DEFYS PHYSICS!!!!
Are you using the stock cams?

Wanted to minimize turbo tag on such a light car. It is hard enough to handle as it is. Plus I should get pretty close to 800hp/ton. that should be enough
