Thumbs up 2.4L ZZP turbo kit sneak pic...

Its up and running, this is not the kit as it will be released as, but it will give you an idea. There will also be an intercooled kit released soon. Since we have a mandrel bender in house, the charge pipe will only have welds on the MAF tube only.
Keep in mind this is a rough kit picture.

See below for dyno sheet....

Why are they running a blow through setup? That makes no sense at all. Doesn't make sense to make a kit without an intercooler. That just asking for problems.

go look at their site...they're including an intercooler. non-intercooled setups are fine for low boost (like 5-8psi through an efficient compressor).

very interesting. now hopefully they decide to ship instead of making it like their twin charge kit where you have to have it installed by them if i remember correctly.

Yes it will be a complete bolt on kit.

Yes, it will be able to be shipped.

I just posted this to give you guys an idea of what we're working on, it was on the dyno yesterday too. I should be able to post up a dyno sheet later today.

Only $1500? Plus install. has anyone tried this on a 2.2? I would think that it would work very easily, Especially if you have a 2.4 intake manifold.

60hp from only a few PSI? Is the BOV noticeable on the Stage 1 kit? I'd imagine it'd run kind of like a stock Saab 9-3 2.0T..

blow through setups are the easiest and most typical setup on a cobalt in terms of tuning.......

The blowthrough allows a BOV venting to atmosphere which most people prefer.
There will be an IC available.

There is no reason why they can't recirc, unless you have a Tial. Most Supra guys run the Godzilla though.

A BOV serves a function. VTA serves no more function then recircing.....

no **** thats why i said personal preference ...

it serves a purpose regardless yes a recirc does the same thing as a VTA but is more inconspicuous but some people want different.. if you go around sneezing at everyone then yes YOU are a ricer.. but a vta bov in itself i wouldn't say is rice

Glad to see this kit finally get off the ground after everyone was drooling over the price for it. Not a fan of non intercooled set-ups but its a step.

Non-intercooled does sound bad, but at least it could be added if wanted. I don't it would add that much heat with just 5psi.

Couldent you just chop in a intercooler later if you wanted too? Its just rerouting some pipe to an intercooler i thought if im wrong please tell me. I was giving stage 1 some serious concideration under the assumption that i could later reroute some piping to an intercooler of my choosing w/o it being a major hassel.
