Thumbs down Dejon catless DP and QTP electric cutout????

i just bought and installed the dejon catless dp with the cutout option this weekend. and also did the muffler delete, sounds amazing closed and extremely loud open lol. only problem is, the cutout part rubs the bottom of the car and vibrates like hell. also i have the QTP electric cutout. that hangs down so damn low that i only have like 3inches of ground clearance and i'm scared that im gonna hit it when i go over a speed bump. not very pleased with this at all. anybody else have any issues like this??

Looking at the pics on their website im not surprised it sits so low, dejon should of put the cutout where the flex section is. I'd get in touch with him and see if he can redesign it, it would be better for everybody.

That's... aweful and wouldn't accept that. Don't know about you, but I often straddle road debris that would smoke that. Not to mention the exhaust just blasting the undercarriage.

I don't want to sit here and rag on Dejon (or any vendor), but they had a... questionable reputation when I was into DSM's from say 1999-2005. Lots of little stuff like this, nothing worth writing a huge post about really. I think others are coming to this conclusion also around here.

Should have ordered a catless DP from CIA and got their cutout option. Yeah theirs isnt electric, but you wouldnt have any clearance issues. My Brother has a catless DP with e-cutout on his SRT-4 and it sounds badass, get up a video so I can see how badass it sounds on our SS/TC.

100% unacceptable

i would send in those pics and ask for a immediate refund... tell them you made a thread about it on the CSS.net it will make them think twice before denying your request...

hell provide them a link directly to this thread so they can see what others are saying about there products... I'm sure you paid a pretty penny for that set-up and now it is a very high risk factor for you to even drive your vehicle let alone enjoy driving it!

is there any wiggle room to rotate the cutout on that 3 bolt flange like rotate it 33* so the motor sits somewhere else? doesn't look like it but figured worth mentioning.

hmmm thats really odd.... I have the same down pipe and mine doesn't hit anything. as far as the e-cutout I would rotate that the other way. that flange moves and see how that looks.

The rubbing on the exhaust tunnel is easy. Take out the cutout, pound that heat shielding in further to the tunnel and reinstall that flange at a different angle. Can't really tell clearance here, but it looks like you could mount it in any three of the positions...

wow. thank god i did not buy this. i planned originally going with all dejon parts with a bov flange and a tial. he told me no one was having issues with a bov on these cars which we all know is a lie. i asked cia to prototype the maf relocation which was done as a result. like it was said above...dejon was quesionable in the dsm world so i wouldnt doubt if it was the same here.

i have a set up like this on my sc. only difference is my cut out sits horizontally into the pipe more like a T instead of a Y that way the down pipe is parallel to the cutout motor. it did net me 4whp

I took this off immediately after taking these vids. It was causing the rear o2 code to be thrown (could be fixed with a tune), and somehow screwed with my mixtures. With it open (or closed, this one was cheap and leaked, sounded aweful closed) my AFRs were all over the place. (not STFT or LTFT but the AFRs). really really rich then really really lean. I dont know why, the cutout is after the first o2 sensor. I removed the e.cutout, and bolted the plate back on with some sealant, and have had no more issues.

Anyway, here is a quick vid that record runs with it open (use good headphones or speakers dont listen on a laptop)-

I have a question. Is that the stock tune you are running in the video?
