ok so ive been reading posts and cant find a clear answer to wheather or not gm is going to keep the cobalt ss coupe for 2010.i was going to buy an 09 but if they r coming out with a 2010 ss then ill just wait till it comes out and have more of a down payment for the beast.

i thought the cobalt was going away completly. being treplaced by the cruiz

 

it is.......I was gm pro and i was told we were going to see it for maybe the first quarter
but they can change that any time..........likke they always do

and it is supposedly supposed to come standard with RPD....LSD and sunroof
and i hear thru the grapevine the stage kit aswell

well im gonna keep my hopes up cuz i dont think there gonna do away with the tc after 2 years. and if they do ill just have to teabag the owners of gm. after a workout of course to teach them a lesson

 

Don't keep your hopes up. The deal with their bailout was no SS models til they got their **** together. If they are released as an 10' model, like said earlier, it'll probably be just for the first quarter.

Something seems amiss...They show a picture of an SS cobalt and then show an interior picture with no power windows and say that new for 2010 is 16" wheels?

 

isnt gm owned by the government, which in turn means that us the tax payers kind of own it. Why would you teabag yourself?

theres no 2010 ss/tc for production, production of the 09s was stopped in mid-early feb.09 and all models were 09's

GM was lying to me when they said they had plans for a short TC build cycle for 2010 an dwhen they gave me a complete standard equipment list.....

I might of been delayed, thats was when the production was suppost to stop. im sure they finished what was on the line. but im pretty sure there will not be a 2010 ss/tc. if you heard this info from your dealer, i would take that in one ear and out the other, for most of the people at the dealer know nothing about the cars they sell sadly.

before the U.S. filing for chapter 11 there was a plan for a short build of cobalt TC
all the crap ws going away anyways like sky solstice and HHR......If you want an awsome very very hard to find in the future, and i can only find 2 right now is the solstice coupe...thats an awsome car and they didnt make very many

 

that is very very true stuff does change, you never know what is in the future, things could of changed, from the info i was given few weeks back. it doesnt bother me weather it gets made or not i own 2 ss cobalts as it is, it be cool if they keep the car going thou.

 

i believe the future is going to repeat like the past.....
were gonna have to many fast cars..like look at our new pony cars,....they are talking about making the 2011 mustangs with a 5.0 or a 5.4, they are talking like insane HP all these gas guzzling fast cars are going to pose a problem in the next couple years,,,anyways, insurance rates go up and all that other BS..then they will slowly fade away again and then rise 10 years after that, whatever im just ranting, all i know is if what i guess is true then these TC's may be the quickest production for some time.......maybe hold a fair resale value for 5 years or so....if were lucky cause no car ever increases in value.

this is my theory anyways and im proud to have a zippy sport compact
