Question Want to install n2o

I have a 05 cobalt ss/sc and want to install n2o, but dont know what to go with. The mods i have are gm stage 2, cai, full exhaust, stage 2 clutch, and 8lb flywheel. Do i go dry or wet shot? Wjat shot should i use? Can you please give me some suggestions and reccomendations on what to go with. And what i need to do if i install n2o.

go with a wet shot for sure. and to start off i would go with a 35 shot and that will give you about 50 whp gain. but i would tune for it for sure.

Not to call anyone a liar, but the GM stage 2 tune goes great with a 50 wet shot. I personaly have been running the stage 2 tune and a 50 shot for nearly a year now and have not had one problem. Just make sure you do it right and not half ass and you should be fine.

Really? What would you say about a wet 75? And what exactly are your mods?

Stage 2 tune, don't exceed a 50 shot. Especially if you are running a smaller pulley on the stage 2 tune.

Obviously, tuning for the nitrous is the best option, but you can run it untuned if you keep the shot small and the boost reasonable. I've seen a 90 shot on a 2.9" pulley done safely with tuning, and a 75 shot on regular stage 2 pulley with no tune, but a 75 shot on stage 2/2.8" has cracked pistons in more than one car I know off, along with a 100 shot untuned on a stock car.

I just hooked the bottle directly to my intake manifold and floor it around. Works great!

I did it on a 2.8" with a little more than a 50. It was fast.

i plan on getting ottps dyno tune kit and running a 50 on my 2.7. cars makes awesome power now and pulls hard. Im on a custom tune i have a wideband already and an aeroforce. Im just wondering how much timing im running at WOT. I think what ima do is run it see what my AFR's are and see if im getting any KR on the aeroforce.

and was that the setup you cracked you piston on? but you spun then hooked and bogged correct? Also how muchboost were you seeing on just the 2.8? Ive seen 19.2 at WOT in the top of third at the track
