Question Geting a tune

Hello Everyone,
I finnaly found how to get a good tune for my car.
I have a PCM from Intense Racing. It has a factory (GM)
tune in it. I believe this to be throwing my engine light.

I intend on having Intense Racing sending me a new PCM
with a tune, and sending them the one I have.
However,

Here is part of the email corrospondance with their service Rep

"The vehicle will start and run after you perform the security re-learn (30 min procedure with your key) however I would not take it over ˝ throttle until you get the crankshaft relearn performed."

A few questions
1: What is a security Re-Learn (I cant find it in my owners manual or my Hanes or Chilton)
2: How do I accomplish a security Re-Learn (I cant find it in my owners manual or my Hanes or Chilton)
3: What is a crankshaft relearn?
4: How is a crankshaft relearn accomplished?

Thank you,
-Jonathan

Damn...
Ok, Can any dyno shop give me a dyno tune?
I have no idea what a trifecta tune is or where to get one.
I dont really intend to push my cobalt real hard anyway.
Mostly just drive it arround town ect. I considered a
Intense tune beucase it already has the parts for it installed,
and it would be cheaper, then to say, step down to a GM Stage 2

you can order a trifecta tune through clear image auto. i would get the ez flash cable. you upload the new tune then go out with a laptop and log you car send it to vince and he will send you a new tune until you car is just right or find a shop that can tune you but it will cost more

Ok so will that work with a Intense-Racing PCM? Because that's the PCM that I already have installed in my car.

i never heard about the security thing but i do know as soon as u take ur computer and swap them u need to get the case relearn done. anyone with hptuners can do it. but its something to do with the crankshaft positioning. if u have already swapped pcm's and ur check engine light is on u can either take it to the dealership or find someone with hptuners. i ur not supposed to really be driving around with it until u get it done. but i know someone who has drove for a month but never used the car to its full potential untill i met up with him and did the case relearn through hptuners

I just noticed that Intense-Racing helps to fund the site.
In an effort to ensure that I get a descent tune, while
still abiding by forum policy.

I ask that you reply to me in private message
what your opinion is of Intense-Racing tunes
and PCMs.

Thank you,
-Jonathan

If you swap PCMs, you need to relearn the key cylinder as the PCM you are putting in has a previous key cylinder programmed to it. This goes the same for cranks.
