Reccomended reading material to help understand HPTuners?
I am planning on eventully picking up the HPTuners VCM suite so I can start getting into tuning myself. Before I jump into purchasing it and even think of changing any parameters, I'd like to read up on any material related to tuning with HP tuners as much as I can. My intentions for now are just tweaking the GM stage 2 tune the best I can, and later on when I get bored upgrade to 60s and a smaller pulley and tune for that. I don't plan on going real nuts with the tuning.
I was able to find a couple books one called Engine Management: Advanced Tuning and the other Designing and Tuning High-Performance Fuel Injection Systems, both of these are by Greg Banish. Have any of you all read either of these books? If so, which one of these books do you think is more informative when it comes to undestanding the basics, getting into more advanced concepts, and even using HP Tuners with GM EFI?

your best bet is to reach out to people who have tuned the type of car you own on the forum and ask lots of questions.
I love computers/software/tweaking things, so it was easy to pick up. If your less inclined just ask more questions.
You should at a minimum understand why you are making changes. Why is 14:1 not good in boost (in general). Why is knock retard bad? There are very basic principles that apply to all engines - if you don't get these, it's not time to pick up the software.
