Finally! A supercharger kit for this motor. Curious to see how much power it will make. Definately more than the 2.0 due to higher displacement. I'm pretty stoked about this.

ZZP responded to the email I sent. Expected gains should be 80hp for less than $2000.

they have a kit on their website right now that looks like it might include everything needed and its around 1200 bucks. and is that 80 crank or whp?

cause 80 whp would put me around 230whp

If they sell a bolt on setup for 2K or less I would be very surprised, that's a good deal.

its designed for the 2.2/2.4 so yea im pretty sure it will. power hasnt been specified. but according to another thread i saw they're gonna use 33# injectors and the stock pulley. so ur looking at 230bhp(210-220whp) prolly.

Not to bad then considering the 2.2 is only making 145 at the crank. If its under 1500 shipped then I am definitely getting it.

its illegal to modify your car like that in CA. You might pass the tailpipe test, but you should fail the visual and probably the OBD2 test as well.

then be prepared to spend over $3k. The supercharger alone costs over a grand if you get it new.

I am not a fan of used parts either, but for the price of a new supercharger and a new intake manifold I didn't have a problem doing it.

I figured the superchargers were all over the place here for $250 to $350 so it was ok enough to get one and if it goes bad in a year or two I could get another at that price.

I didn't buy a lot of used parts, but every used part I bought for the conversion I either powdercoated or I stripped it and made it look totally new. My intake manifold and supercharger look better than new.
