At the same time, I got a CEL out of no where and my remote car starter stopped working as well. I hear a click from the engine bay like it is attempting to start the car... but nothing. Could the CEL be for that or do I possibly have 2 different problems? I'm just about to hit 80000kms... probably next week.


Dumb observation. I used to be going 110km/hr @ 3000 rpms... lately it is now @ 2500rpms... that happen to anyone else? I drive an automatic.

 

Does the car start with the key?

 

yes, most dtc's set will disable remote start function. 99% of the time thats the issue.

have you changed anything lately as in tires, etc?

 

Only thing done lately was an oil change at the dealership.
