The road to 12's in a M62 powered LSJ
As many of you may recall i was on the throwdown list last year for some time with my 13.3 @ 107mph. when i ran this time i was on the factory blower with a 2.7in and bolt ons. My problem was that at the trap i was hitting almost 189 degree IAT2 temps and my car was pulling timing like crazy after the 1/8mile mark. I was also running factory 18's with bridgestone street tires and nothing but a Ingalls ETD with a non LSD tranny and factory clutch that liked to slip. In the off season i replaced my open end diff with a G85 transmission and complimented it with a GMP upgraded clutch kit. while i was in the doing the trans swap i also decided to instal a GM racing dual pass kit with the option B as well. I just passed the break in period and i must say i am thoroughly impressed with this clutch and its nice having both tires hooking. I am confident that with my current setup and same tune as last year with cooling mods that i will be running in the 12's.
I am considering getting the OTTP stage two mounts as i believe they will really help me at the track. My question to you avid dragracers is what are you guys doing about weight transfer because with this clutch and LSD trans now when i leave from a dig man does she squat!!!

drag bags (or footballs for cheapos) in the rear springs. Inflate them alot, jack that rear end up HIGH!
Limiting straps/chains in the front. Put a bolt in the body at the top of the suspension, and a bolt underneath the suspension on the spring bucket, then use a chain/strap to tie them together.
That will help weight transfer and lower your 60ft.

zrated89 is a good dude from my area. His car is pretty strong, and I think he has a good chance to get to his goal. I'll be going to watch on April 2nd, going through the break-in process on my car. Then we'll race at the track.
