then why the hell would my dealership tell me that it's not even possible to get a white one for 2008 (I had ebony/ebony 19E) he said that he called directly the DN who got that info directly from Lordstown, Ohio, where the cars are actually built
and I'm not trying to insult you buddy, far from it, I'm just a little pissed at the lack of competence of the persons at my dealership, i'm sure you're good

I used to work at the dealer, they ordered my car without a deposit. If I cannot get out of my lease, I can walk away and they will sell the car to someone else. As a former employee, they have agreed to sell me the at a discount. They are also paying the lease transfer of my old car and the lease busters fee.
The dealer wouldn't put my current car on lease busters, at their expense, if my new Cobalt wasn't going to be built. I know that the car had to be manually allocated, mine was accepted for production by GM and has a tentative build date of mid June.
Also, all that stuff about the phase 1, 2, 3 and 4. If you look under the Cobalt Sport in GM Autobook, it lists the same information dates and that car has been in production all year. I personally don't put much stock into that.
All I am waiting for is the APRs and residuals to be released, along with pricing for the LSD.
Here is my car on lease busters... http://www.leasebusters.com/en/details.asp?ID=50262

he did have it opened, and I was there with the sales director when he manually placed the order to GM... two weeks went by and he's told that white won't be available for 2008 models...
honestly I was considering myself lucky of just being able to order it in white... if you take a look at all the SS in the Test Drive that you guys did... all the colors are there exept for silver and white.. that rang a bell... second thing would be the official color chart in the edmunds complete test drive
http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do....photopanel..1
anyways... the blue still looks very very good, it's just a little deceiving

ahhh, i see white has dissapeared, whats pretty dumb is that gm.ca is actually ahead of our GM Autobook (orderig tool) Autobook is all still W/A for MSRP and All options. I guess all we can do is wait... like i said iam checking GM Infonet daily for updates from GM.
Davis98 - all this info from GM is so unreliable right now, i stand down. It seems to be anyones game right now, and seems we are all getting different info. I guess we will wait for gm to release all the solid info. but iam not making any promises to myself untill they give us some solid answers. sorry for the big dispute.

I'm supposed to get the financial infos this week.. I'll keep you updated
wouldn't be surprised if it would be exeptionnal vs. all the other cobalts since they are made in limited amounts
Honda did it with the Si in 2006... regular ones where 3.9% and the Si 7-8%
