All in all the car sounds good, the only question i have pertains to the brembos...can you get them for the supercharged ss?

The knuckle that is on the ss/tc is specific to that car not any other. So maybe if you use that knuckle on your car the brembos will fit, that is the only way i see it working.

The enitre braking system is said to be different ...by the guys looking up part #'s in GM dealer computers . All the part #'s are available now , except for the rotors .

Anyone else impressed that the TC will maintain 30mpg while packin' a punch....just good tech...I mean, the Civic Si is a good car, but it gets 30mpg and only has 197hp....I actually just got back from the dealership...tryin to get my hands on the first TC that rolls in, which is in about 2.5wks...can't wait!

yeh that mileage with that kind of power is whats making me take a serious look into getting back into a Cobalt SS.

What kindof problems did you have with your SC?

I've seen a yellow SC here on Whiteman..I drive mine rarely (black 06 SC)...

What does the 2018 refer to...

hit a pothole turning right at an intersection(10mph?) and seriously fubared some **** on the passenger rear tire. Blew out the tire and took a small chunk out of the inside of the rim(not enough to warrant replacing)and didn't notice it for about 1/2 mile when i stopped at mcds to check out the damage and noticed the tire blown out. Thank god for onstar, cuz I was a ******* and didn't put the spare tire back in the trunk after the street legals a couple weeks before. Couple weeks after that was fixed started hearing a clunking sound that the dealership could not figure out how to fix. They even threw a new wheel hub assembly at it. Soooo I just got rid of it.

The 2018 refers to my favorite nascar drivers. Tony Stewart and Bobby Labonte when he was still driving the 18.

hopefully its better than the HHR SS I test drove.... decent pick up, not much lag (for an auto) but not the same as the S/C

I have an HHR SS and I have to say that my Cobalt SC did have more of a punch from the get go, but at the sametime, I feel that there is alot of room for improvment on the HHR SS with the auto.

Cool Turbo Man Jonyyb

Turbo's are cool - my questions is way can't I get a turbo add on to my LSJ SC?? If we are talking about 2250 bucks for a new SC and installation and mods and tune...how much more would a nice 50+ HP turbo be? Probably a stupid question. Anyways nice to race new stuff to California, how can I get that job.....

Oh yeah remember us little people.......

How can they be detuned and have the same hp and torque ratings that the new Cobat SS/TC have? Its the same motor...............yes the automatics have the been modified cause of several different factors, but its the same motor.

Well the HHR is detuned to accept the Automatic tranny, but for the manual it has the same ratings, the auto tranny 4t-45e can't take that much torque. and the 4t-65e is to big to fit in there.

I suppose we will have to split website in two--- SC vs. TC??

LOL

Probably see you at the 19th meet - then Younstown again---all though probably only the TC's will get trophies.....

GMpricing says BASE $22,995 and with all options $24,795....how your dealer decides to screw you over after that is up to them

Welcome to the site. G85 is an option offered 2006-(part)2007 which included Recaro branded seats and a limited slip differential. In 2007 GM fazed out the seats, but you could still order the limited slip diff. If you want to know if you have this option, the option codes your car has are printed on a white tag in the trunk, under the carpet, next to the sub.

Cadillac and Pontiac are using it for the V8 sedans I believ

This cobalt is ******* sick, Ive always said to myself I wish I had my motor, tuned to put out more horses stock, put it in a lighter coupe, mated to a great tranny and it would be a great car. I guess god hear my prayer lol.
