This is the way the cobalt should've came....this car is badass stock....but i'm really hoping for the new 08 crowd that the cobalt can be modified easily. From the looks of it (looking at lnf sky's/solstices), modibility is not going to be there. But GM, PLEASE, PROVE ME WRONG

I would have to say a stage II SS/SC will be much more powerful then the T/C. However if the after market kind find cheap ways to get around the LNF computer and bring some great products out the new SS/TC will be a more powerful car then a SS/SC. The problem still remains with the tranny though. I for see alot of SS/TC owners who race or go to the track cracking tranny casings more then the SS/SC guys do. Even with the improved mounts. The SS/TC needs a tranny that can hold over 400whp+. Its not hard to get a after market fuel pump, bigger injectors, engine managent system, bigger turbo, and a tune to make over 400 whp.
I see lots of improvements with the SS/TC but the most important thing of all has not been changed. The tranny. I know one thing for sure, if cash is not a problem and a racing tranny comes out for the turbo cobalt it will be the new fastest FWD car ever. It already has forged engine componets which make it handle much more power. Tell me what good it is to have more power with the same tranny problems as a SS/SC?
^ no lift has nothing to do with hard launches in first gear....

Question:
Are the seats heated? (I saw a dash picture where the switches weren't there)
Suggestion for GM:
I would love to have a button on the dash that switches the ECU from performance mode to economy mode.

I dont remember where i read it.....somewhere in this forum.. BUT
the SS/TC tranny is "maxed-out" already...so any more stage kits = tranny swap too
i sure wouldnt mind taking that clutch out of the TC for my SC :
technically the tranny did improve but only to suit the TC cause the car generates more power...
i think if we were to throw the SC tranny in the TC i'd get ripped apart from 0-60?!
correct me if im wrong.

Sounds like an awesome car, But as many have said, Ill keep my Stage II SC. I bought a HHR SS with the Turbo and since the motors are the same I have to say that the power is incredible, but I still have to bow to the SC, I just more of a supercharger type of guy

Well I talked to a manager from a dealership and he told me that sense I have the CAI and exhaust from GMPP it would up my trade in value. I will keep you posted on what happens Monday.
If you own more then the trade in they will add what ever is extra to the new car. IE If you own 17k and the trade in value is say 12k they will take the other 5k and add it to the price of the new car.

That is a good question. Many answers will be absent until people test and find out once there out. Since GM did improve on mounts and some other key things it may not be a problem. However, even if you don't go to the track and drive hard now and then it should not be a problem. The main problem with LSJ guys breaking trannys is solid mounts, DR's, and more power then the tranny can handle. So if you plan on keeping a TC stock then it will be a great car. If you consider running low 14s or a high 13 1/4th mile time fast then its a good car for you. But then when a SRT-4 or SS/SC like mine beat it in a race you can't cry....
