woo hoo i just had my first race tonight. My good friend has a 99 Acura that he just dropped a Type R motor in. We did a 50-90mph pull and my tc ripped his acura a new one. Not even close. My car is bone stock and his has CAI, cat-back, cam gears, and reworked heads. I thought it would be a closer race but i pulled on him very hard and beat him by about 3-4 car lengths before we shut em down.

Car is maybe 200-210 crank HP. Normal result. Those cars don't compete with boost while they are still N/A. If he adds spray or boost, you will be in trouble though.

 

yeah. i wonder if I added the Hahn catback and Hahn tuner to my car and if he added boost to his car how close that would be? hmmm

200-210 crank hp?? They come with like 195 crank hp from the factory IIRC.

 

On like 3 psi he'd run with you so just hope he never goes turbo.

but regardless dont brag... a 50 roll on the tc is a real sweet spot.. thats where i race most ppl if i do a roll.. try him from a dig. he mights surprise you a little....

 

haha funny you say that i just did. He did a lot better but i still beat him by about 3 car lengths to when we shut down at 50 mph. I even used traction control and bounced readline in first gear and still won haha

a fully built type R will hang with your turbo balts. they are pretty nasty all motor if they are built right with ITB's and a lil higher compression plus they weight next to nothing since everyone guts the **** out of them....but nontheless, nice kill.

 

yea he wants to turbo it but i don't see that ending well with the high compression they run and knowing him he'll do it half ass and wont lower the compression or built up the bottom end because he said the pistons are cast. I think he said the compression is like 11:1. lol the motor already has blow by

 

my frend has a turbo integra 380 at 15psi 489 at 23 psi and with race gas 27 psi 600. the thing is un ******* real lol he has **** torque though

 

You sure its a K20? Probably a B18 type R, K's are very rare, and should be quicker than that.

 

yea its a b18.. he was just sayin that the 200 210hp motor is what the k20 comes with.

even on a very low 5 to 8psi of boost on that 11:1 compression b18c5 he will walk all over the turbo'd balts. i knew a guy that went to park vista and was running i wanna say 8 psi on a stock k20 block rsx-s and that thing was nasty.

 

heck its just lik emy s2k.. 8 psi and instant 300whp... lol.... heck my buddy has a d16 wit a jackson racing sc and damn... that thing got nasty fast...

 

haha... honda's are great platforms for people who know what they are doing... i owned a 93 b17a1 GSR. so i speak from experience. lol.. s2k's are sick with boost...

 

i think its funny my s2k wit a kraftwerks sc will make 350rwhp and almost 300ft lbs of trq.... c so honda's can have trq...and the best thing bout a honda= no trq till 6k then u can take advantage of ur gearing...

The S2k's point is not a "i want torque all the time," but good for daily city driving, and if you want to take it to a track, then you keep it in the high revs and have fun.
