a real 2001 acura integra type r would give the ss tc a run for its money on a road course. They handle very well and can keep up. Swapping a b18c5 in a gsr shell isnt going to produce the same result. the final drive is different in the type r. Additionally, so is the suspension and weight. if you get a jackson supercharger or a greddy kit ( or something similar) along with hondata, the tc would be in trouble. However i would question the reliability of this vehicle to perform because it is not turbo stock. additionally good luck keeping the theives away. but all being said the type r is pretty close to being equal to the new t/c as far as handling is concerned. also you can have a type r run mid to high 13s with bolt ons and light weight mods and a tune. it will run low 14s for most drivers stock.

Good kill as expected. My uncle's car goes for Dyno time next week. He has a Acura Integra GS-R. Were hoping for 420+whp on 18psi and 500 on 22psi with meth.

Good kill!

Here's a B18 Integra @ 5psi being dynoed. I know the K series can handle 5 psi no problem. Probably even more. But 10 or 11 is getting up there. Not sure they handle that with stock internals.

At the end it says Prated = 195 KW. That's about 261whp. In a car that is pretty lightweight.

Ha ha! Nice. I wasn't sure. I know a lot of the people on clubrsx are between 5 and 11. Maybe just to retain reliability? (as much as they can anyway)

psi also depends on turbo size...30psi on one doesnt mean its the same on another

I ran a Type R (modded) on the interstate and he downshifted behind me several cars back. I was only able to downshift when his car got beside mine. So he had the advantage. I was able to start to pull on him slightly and would have passed him only if we had more road (traffic was slow up ahead of us).

I wanna run him next time side by side.

No it won't thats what makes the SS/TC such a good package. Stock for stock the Cobalt will out handle the ITR

Integra Type-R's and RSX-S' in the right hands can be sick. I know of plenty RSX-S' with just a few bolt ons and a tune running low 14's to high 13's. And boost is a great option with both cars. I actually ran into a boosted Integra GSR a few weeks ago in my 05 Mustang GT and from a slow roll he pretty much hung with me. He punched it first and got a car or 2 ahead of me but I pulled him back in and was even til about 60mph. Pretty nice cars.

I had an RSX-S... just intake, exhaust, and reflash and I was able to beat a WRX and hang with a MS6. I don't know about the B series but the K series responded awesome to just about any mod you threw at it. Especially a RH.

Exactly what I'm talking about. The WRX's are mid to low 14 second cars and the MS6's are low 14 second cars. So its safe to say with just an intake, exhaust and tune you were running very low 14's to possible high 13's. Nice job

a 2001 itr is a hell of a lot different then a 2002 rsx type s or even a 2005 rsx type s. itr has less understeer at high speeds perhaps do to the weight difference. i do not think the ss/tc kills a 2001 itr in handling. i would say it kills a 2002-2004 rsx type s but def not a 2001 itr. other characteristics about the t/c are the reasons why it should come out ahead of the itr. both cars hold .88gs on the skidpad. of course there is a reason why i bought the tc. it isnt a torqueless **** like the itr. i do think the itr is pretty equal to it aside from that.

IM really not sure where this idea comes from where hondas are fast

nothing with 130lbs of torque is fast unless it weighs nothing

2500lbs before lightweight mods isnt bad.. high rev limit keeps you in the power band longer. and they can take FI with ease. i had a modded 00 si before the tc. it was quick and could take turns similar to the tc but i did have suspension mods.

seeings how ur cobalt with the tvs just BARELY cracked a 13.9 in the 1/4 mile and my honda with 130lbs of torque runs a 12.49 i'd say ur argument is retarded, ignorant, and down right makes YOU look like an idiot.

I like how easy it is to build up Honda's, I just needed to take an anger management course so I can put up with some of the drivers.. but a good buddy of mine has a sohc turbo sedan that runs high 13s... nice.... I really embarrased a gsr swapped hatch after being called out, fallowed and fly by'd... I punched the gas reeled him back in and then we had a run, and I secured one final victory in my SC. Good to know the last run in her was to shut a ricer down . Good kill for the TC, but I would love an old school itr as a project car. I drove one a while ago and loved it!

i can handle people like u raggin civics (if u even do) and people like paul that can run high 12s...but when someone runs a 13.9 with something that should be running a high 12 trys to crack jokes.....someone has to put them in there place.
