Best Ways to Save $$ for CAI
I know the 2008 SS guys are waiting patiently for TurboTech's CAI due out in September according to Aaron from TTR. I am assuming that this much anticipated CAI system will fit the on order 2009 SS coupes as well (PM if I am wrong about this or if you have any info about TTR's CAI coming out in relation to the 2009 SS coupes. )
I am bored so I figured I would start a thread where we could all reply with some ways to start saving up money in order to purchase a TurboTech Cold Air Intake sytem this September or shortly after they hit the market.
I will start;
Being from Michigan, we get 10 cents on most soda pop cans and beer bottles and other recyclable **** like that. So taking back cans to the grocery store can add up to some big bucks, especially when I clean up the next morning from a party at the house. So If your state has some type of decent "money back" program for bottles and cans, stop playing World of Warcraft so much, get off you butts, and take some bottles and cans back an add all the money to your "TurboTech CAI Fund"

oooooor... you could order a whole bunch of **** from TTR, and wait until you have enough points.

I'd save money for one by dropping it into my retirement account, then probably just skip buying one. If some independent testing comes out to show a great improvement in actual, measureable performance (meaning dyno testing is okay but have it backed up with things like track times) and that it's not just providing a louder intake tract, then I might consider one. We'll have to see how restrictive the stock air box really is before I'll drop money on one.
Now onto the next thread. Which blow-off valve should I buy? I need more power.

Seriously tho, if you need to think about ways to save money for mods...are you certain you can afford this car to begin with?

Dude, it was for fun, why is everyone so serious around here?
Am I the only SS owner who is a total pothead too?
Hey Jude, don't be afraid. You were made to, go out and get her.
