Yea, Ive seen over 35VE on Tyler's car and about 38MAF Lbs. The high Maf is also when the boost is climbing above where we desire so that will come down slightly.

I was just basing it off of one of the Kappa guys saying he was making 35 lbs/min over on there forums. Yes he was using ethanol, so that might explain it.

So then the GT2860 is a an upgrade of 3-4 lbs/min, any idea what that would translate into whp? If people are making 340's with one of the hptuner tuners on the K04 (Term is making 360), what are we possibly looking at with the GT2860 with one fo there tunes?

Well will soon know. As far as I know, Im the only one that is interested in the 2860. My tax money should be deposited next week at which time I will be ordering the BNR Stg1. Hopefully hes got one ready to go and ships right away. Then, BYT will be tuning me for it.

If anyone gets all that done on the 2860 before me then speak up! We want results

Everyone seems to be wantng the Stg2 for a lot more power. Im content with the 2860. Im sure BYT or Term can get good reliable power out of it.

snip...
I've logged over 41 lb/min MAF on E60 (stock turbo) with the fueling offset fudge factor. It's a lie, ask for VE lb/min airflow numbers to compare, takes the fuel trim fudge factor out of it.

I only live 1hr from BNR, so I will be driving down and picking mine up and then take my old one back for the core charge at a later date. I will talk with BNR while I'm down there and tell him what exactly I want and which turbo he thinks will suit my needs.

If your having your turbo remote tuned by BYT or Term, you will still have yours tuned before me. I'm gonna have Vince tune the turbo initially (so I can drive around locally), then I will be taking a trip to PA to visit family and stop in to see BYT for 1 day to tune further. I'm gonna have BYT slap on a Trifecta/HPT tune on for 93 Octane, probably some time in February.

I won't make it to the dyno I used for my Dual Trifecta tune till March at least to compare.

Sounds good man. Let us know which one you choose.
Im gonna have to wait for a dyno day in my area to go dyno. Or, I may drop the 80 bucks it costs to dyno at my preferred shop if no dyno day comes up.

It's important to note that the VE airflow calculation is based on a stock motor's VE map. Some mods that increase airflow will throw this calculation off, such as exhaust mods. Even a better IC will increase airflow more than the VE airflow calculation will predict.

Duly noted, thanks Matt. I thought VE airflow was calculated via the pressure drop across the throttle body.

422 whp at 35 lbs/min? Does this car run on nitromethane? Or did you mean 322whp?

It could be, but it would still be affected by exhaust mods.

Ok, then the HP was right, but the MAF reading was much lower than actual. It was probably set up that way to tune for the meth. I don't know what turbo he is running on that kit, but 26-27 psi on an S252 turbo is around 44 lbs/min.

Its a stage III (GT2871R)

I am speaking of the VE Airflow, not at the MAF.

If my VE Airflow is reading 30lb/min, my MAF is at 38.71 lb/min

His VE was at 35-37, so I imagine at the MAF it was much higher.

this is my log as an example

I guess it has to do with the torque based controls. Desired boost (desired torque)>Set WG DC max.

With a combo tune right? Def takes some logging back and forth as you saw. I think yours is Terms first combo? I could be wrong there but its a bit different then HP alone. He knows very well how the DAL and MAL tables work so he'll get it!
