Just a small update. I had a boost leak that I finally found and fixed. It was causing some tuning headaches. The car seems to run fine with the 2860. I love it but were still getting some weird KR under light throttle when taking off from a stop. Its a little frustrating cause otherwise at WOT she pulls hard all the way to 7k with no KR. Ill keep you guys posted as tuning continues.

Google search a Ugas in your area. Most of them have E85. I tryed a E85 location lookup website and it was saying the closest station to me was in miami(im in broward) When there is a Ugas about a mile away from me that carries it

Awesome man. Good luck! Hopefully tuning goes way better for you than it is going for me. Do you mind posting a pic of your 2860? I am curious to see how the WG rod is adjusted on yours.

Tried to take a pic but the camera battery is dead. Anyway, it looks like the rod length (including the locknut) to the inside surface of the adjusting boss is 4 3/8". The length of rod (including the locknut) that sticks out past the boss is 13/32".

I think everyone that has either of the BNRs on are having good results. Just havent posted updates. Ive had nothing but headaches since I put mine on but it looks like they all stem from engine issues. First the WG was in the wrong position. My bad. Fixed. Then found a boost leak. Fixed. Still having this weird part throttle KR that I cant figure out. So I went in and adjusted the KR sensors to be oriented in a different direction than stock as some members have proven this to reduce their sensitivity, but didnt do me any good. I believe I think I have it narrowed down to a bad o2 thats skewing the readings and throwing off my AFR therefore causing this tip-in KR I keep getting. Without fixing this, I cant tune

I would really like to see a TF/HP car and a BNR car go from a 40 roll

A stock K04 vs. a BNR 2871 both TF/HPT tuned?
The BNR turbo will blow the doors off the K04, the BNR 2871 is crazy strong from the mid to upper power range while the low power range is similar to stock (a tad laggier then stock).
I'm speaking from personal experince going from a Trifecta tuned K04 to a Trifecta tuned BNR 2871.
I would imagine you would get the same results with the TF/HPT tuned car but a much stronger tune.
I'll let one of the BNR 2860's speak for that turbo since i have no idea.
do u have a 60-100 time?

40 roll is no good. I spin all through 2nd. 60 roll in 3rd is much better.

I do. 4.5s. Before I was closer to 6s. I also switched to e85. Where you really see it though is 60-130.

I ran a 4.7 on the K04. I was expecting something better too. More data will be coming in with better tunes, I'm sure.

DA and the terrible fuel we have available.

It's hard to run more than 13-14 degrees of timing (stock is around 11 and GMS1 is 12, I believe, can't remember) and we don't have that killer air like you folks back east. Let's not forget that the stock K04 does well within a 60-100 run. Try a 60-130 and then compare that with those that have upgraded their turbos and you will see the true potential.

In tglems defense, my car with my own tuning was only able to best a 6 sec 60-100 as well. After switching to E85, I was able to clip off some 5.2sec 60-100 (car is stock w/3bar MAPS + tuning). As you can see, the E85 definitely helps but it still wouldn't allow me to reach some of the crazy tune only 60-100 times I've seen come from back east. I guarantee that tglems would have ran in the mid-lower 4 sec 60-100 range had he have been running/tuned for E85, with the K04.

My 60-100 times are 4.7 with the E47 mix at higher elevation Well in the coupe.

The potential is there. Ive had a small taste of what it can do but until I figure out what the hell is causing my phantom KR I cant tune any further. It only happens when I accel and the engine torques. Something is tapping somewhere and Im still trying to figure out what it is.

So far, Ive been under the car twice after the install. Once to adjust the WG and the second to recheck and tighten all the bolts just incase there was a small leak. Then I did a boost leak test and found and fixed a leak. Then, a friend fabbed up a bracket for the CP because it did not line up with its mounting screw on the IM to keep it from flexing. I thought at first it would be okay but found that under load the cp was tapping the fuel line, hence the bracket to keep it in place. Then I adjusted the intake cause I found that it was contacting the fender well, and although it wasnt causing issues before I wanted to eliminate all possibilities, so, I put a large piece of foam padding under the intake so it would not rub the fender well anymore. Then....lol...I took the intake mani off to gain access to the KR sensors to adjust then to the 9 o'clock position like others have said to 'de-sensitize' them. The very last thing Ive done is replace the o2 with a new one because I figured maybe that was going bad and skewing the readings and actually causing me to run lean. It was a good idea because it looked shot when I took it out. After aaaaaaaall this, I still have the KR on throttle tip-in though not as severe after I replaced the o2.

Now you guys know all my business lol
I havent heard from any of the other 2860 guys.

Sounds very frustrating, sorry to hear. I hope the other 2860 guy's are having better luck.
