I know u want numbers bro but put it like this. On a meth tune and 26lbs i can see 450 coming easily.......... The turbo produces a good amout of air and spool time is decent. To get to the power goal it just means tuning to a extent. Advancing timing. Going a litttle leaner with the meth ect.

But aren't you skewed about 30% for full E? That would take u right back down to 36lbs/min

Well, I am going tonight to tune a 2860 car on the dyno. It's the dyno I always goto as well so I can overlay my old gas tune 22psi graph on the stock turbo vs the 2860 car.

He called me saying something about the coolant lines is different? I haven't installed one of these and the shop I use did the install. Anyone know anything about this?

I dont think anyone is being secretive lol The only one that straight out said hes not posting was HHRSouth. Why the others havent posted, I have no clue.

Ive been having an isolated issue on my side of things that has kept me from getting the car fully tuned and running right hence no dyno numbers. Ive done countless boost leak tests, Ive replace my o2 and fiddled with the MAF. The prob is low level knock at part throttle. WOT performance is outstanding though. Right when we get it tuned and running with zero KR in the low RPM where its occuring it randomly shows up and comes back later on.
Nick(BYT) has been awesome during this whole time and hes kept at it and at it and at it, poor guy lol

Im almost convinced I have a defective 2860

Im still wondering if its a leak between the turbo and manifold or the compressor cover. Only things left. You're welcome to try my spare MAF out for the hell of it!

Sending back an update now btw too

Yeah the coolant lines have to be modded a bit to make it fit. No biggie. I just had to bend them slightly to make them fit the new orientation on the GT28 center
housing.

Let me know how it goes!

Yeah, Stamina has a spare MAF that Im going to try out I guess. Although when a MAF goes bad, it just stops working no? Wouldnt a leak in those areas you mentioned have shown up in during my plethora of boost leak tests? lol Im wondering if maybe somehow my breather lines got messed up during the install. Would that cause the symptoms we are seeing too?

No. You are testing the charge piping, not the manifold or compressor cover seal.

Edit: They txt'd me back, they figured it out already. Thanks for the info tho!

Yeah, the K04 has the coolant lines both on one side whereas the gt28 center housing is like most other turbos with the coolant connections on opposite ends.

Ive been doing the boost leak tests from the turbo inlet. I thought that pressurized the turbo too....???

Just the compressor cover, so that's good. That doesn't handle the turbo to manifold seal tho. Does it have a exhaust leak sound at all?

If nobody posts their numbers by June then I'll get some and post. I'm finishing my Ph.D. and am supposed to defend in May so I am literally working all day every day. I haven't had a chance to even think about a dyno. I should have done it when I had a little more time when I first got the kit.

If it does I cant hear it lol I figure Id hear some kind of pulsating but it just sounds normal to me. It could be that the seal in the turbo to mani(that metal ring that kinda looks like the one on the DP right?) could be bad...??? they are cheap, maybe I go by new ones for both turbo and DP and see what happens. I dread having o take the turbo out again lol
