Oh, and I forgot to answer your inquiry earlier about how its running HHRSSouth. Shes great, AFRs are the most stable Ive seen them in a really long time. Pegged at 14.5-14.9. They used to swing wildly before for some reason. Boost response is amazingly quick. The car pulls really hard on the tune. She also doesnt go into boost as much when put-putting around, which I love. I used to be about even or about half a car on a new Camaro SS when tuned and used to put about a car on one on the E blend. The other night while tuning, I put, literally, like a bus length or two on one all the way to 130 lol We had two good runs and both times I was amazed at how I was pulling away on 93octane. The second run was actually funny cause I started in second at about 45mph and missed third so he was pulling away at wot, then when I got it into third he was about two cars ahead of me and I reeled him in and passed him like if i was cruising on by LOL it was awesome.

So, yeah, she runs well and this turned out to be the upgrade I was wanting
Sweet glad to hear you got everything worked out! We need to go for some runs some day. Stock turbo vs. modded turbo and make a video. From your story it sounds a lot like the beatings I put on the new SS camaros. I bet it would be a good run

Yeah for me thats fast...lol...my engine for some reason has never been able to make the HP that other LNFs make. This is confirmed by three different tuners lol max timing any of them was able to run on 93 was like 13-14 before Id start KR. On E though, she was a different kind of monster

13-14* isnt too bad. Ive had a couple cars i tuned that will only take 14* up top on gas. I did a seafome on one of them and it made a difference actually. Same deal with my car. These motors are bad about getting carbon build up very fast, as early as 5000 miles. try it out and see if it helps.

Okay guys. You asked for it and here it is. This is a short vid, one roll out in mexico. My 2871 on 93 at 24-25psi at about 14* wot timing. 3rd gear 60. The camera car is the OPs car on trifecta E tune at 22psi. Please keep in mind that my engine has always been slower than most LNFs out there, just ask BYT It was also about 86* outside and kinda humid. Both cars have same mods except for for intakes are different...and my slightly bigger turbo lol
I forget how to embed video so heres a link:

You lie, you said this was in Mexico in your post but you clearly state South Africa on the video j/k

You should bump the turbo up to 26 psi max boost and run some E-blend

Nice. This is what I like to see, legit results! I hope you're much happier now, and I'm glad you stuck with it. Now go run some 12's!

Well to be fair the mustang dyno results were legit also, along with your run you did.

I'm sure people will still pop into this thread shooting down cubaniche results along with the BNR 2871. Funny thing is we have 3 different type of results thus far.

So just to reiterate results with the BNR 2871 turbo:

Drewbroo Mustang Dyno with results posted

Tglems 1/4 mile run posted

Cubaniche video 93 octane Trifecta tune w/ BNR 2871 vs. a Trifecta E tuned car with same mods minus BNR 2871 turbo.

Good catch. I realize I wrote legit and meant it slang style. I should have said solid or good or something.

I'd say we also have your positive results (at least your word on it ) and that makes 4!

Edit: Please tell me that the corn badge in your sig is on your car. That'd be legit. :-)

Just recieved it this evening in the mail and putting it on the HHR SS.

The dude that designs them and sells them does top notch work, I'm reallly impressed with the quality of print/graphics and backing on the badge.

Thanks guys. Yeah man, I'm happy I stuck with it and I'm happy with the results thus far. I'm going to do what hhrssouth suggested and get an e blend tune here soon so I can add timing and bump up acceleration. The results ar e legit though lol

That badge is awesome. I saw it in your sig a week ago and I was wondering if there was an actual badge or just a graphic. Pics of it on the car asap

I would imagine you could hit similar results on E47 with the BNR running 26psi.

398/436 was my best on the mustang dyno on E30. (25 PSI) On the dynojet and 50/50 mix, 441/488 @ 27.5 PSI.

The car is now sold and detuned for 91 OCT @ 24 PSI for a female driver.

I didn't put them up because it seems like no one really cares around here. The new owner got the dyno sheets with the car.

^^^This

I stopped updating anything because everyone is onboard the EFR train, even after everyone asked for results from the BNR 2871GT and different results have been posted.

I get the occasional PM from different people ( some I've never even see post on the forums) asking for advice on the turbo or whats needed to make it work etc.

So I would not be surprised if there aren't more out there on cars.

FYI, to this date I still have not had one issue with my turbo its worked flawlessly.

The only reason I (and I'm sure a lot of others) were on the "EFR train" was because it is a better turbo at the end of the day. Of course, price will play a big factor in determining if those better qualities are worth the extra coin I'm certain it will cost. The only problem is...I was expecting maybe mid-late June-ish for the EFR to come out...clearly that was optimistic...and ZZP hasn't posted any kind of updates to that thing in quite a while...even to just say, hey...progress is being made, should be roughly x amount of months longer....so that train I was on is kind of...well...derailed at the moment...and I'm impatient. Plus, prior to ZZP's EFR news I had already started purchasing and planning for the BNR anyways (purchased BOV and all the recirc stuff for it)...so it's probably time to just get moving on making more power Seeing numbers nearing the mid 400's is enough to sell me. I was looking for like 400-430whp out of this car. That's more than enough for a FWD DD in my eyes

Ods are if you get the BNR, you will be happy enough not to both with going further if thats your goals.
