Is the BNR reliable?
Also how do I recirculate? What BOV is the best and safest?

Honestly, recirculate it. Its cheap and easy. Maf relocate cost extra money and is harder to tune. Plus you could get blowby on it and have to clean it much more frequently.
You only get rich spikes if you vta without a maf relocate, and it doesn't damage anything, its just annoying.

If I go recirculation, I'd have to buy a new Intake (mines silicone and can't have a recirc welded) and an new upper charge pipe or weld on a flange for a BOV and then buy a BOV.
With MAF relocate, I just need a lower pipe with maf relocate and a BOV. Or do I still need a Upper charge pipe with BOV flange?

Anyway, u have 2 options.
1. Recirculate bov, save $$ on buying a lower cp and maf relocate kit, easier to tune
2. Dish out the cash and get a maf relocate, harder to tune and less consistent but u can vta.
Either way will work. Im going with recirculating it and others have done maf relocates. Comes down to personal choice really.

Mag reloctte actually hertz veered unskewed results since its after all elbows and couplers and bends. And if you blow a coupler or anything before the cold side then you can still drive the car. If on the intake. And you have a blown innercooler or coupler. Then it'll be hard to drive.

You won't get the rich spikes if you skew the MAF properly. (With VTA) Mine was off by a little ove 30%, but after about 40 hours of tuning(With the MAF relocate).... the rich spikes were tuned out. It can be done, just takes time.

Sup guys,
I see that this thread comes back to life every now and then. I just wanted to propose something that is taking life in another thread that could possibly help us with the GT2871r's reach our goals. For some the turbo seems more than enough, I understand. What do you think if we had better Compressor and Exducer wheels made that were more efficient??? Bullseye Power is currently making compressor wheels for the K04 and we are currently waiting for results of a dyno to see what they can make. Someone in the same thread mention how this would be a great idea for the GT2871r. Here is the thread:
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-0l...el-ko4-264753/
I personally would like to get an even more and slightly larger but lighter wheel for my GT28, so in order for this to happen they need at least 10 people to cover R&D cost. I'm willing to put in if we can round some peeps up. The dyno of the new wheel will be conducted sometime by the end of this week. I'll be posting here and also on the Skyroadster forums to see if you and others will be interested. Bill at Bullseye Power has yet to have a wheel of their's not make more power than the original. You can visit their website to read more on their machining. Please let me know what you think.
here is a picture of my 62mm billet BEP wheel and Ryan@zzp's batmowheel 66mm wheel
heres a better picture of how the inducer is on a Batmowheel
This is a Double Batmowheel

Looks like their using that design technology that originally came from the study of the shape of whale fins. I'm not even making it up. lol Google it. They're rolling out the findings in various things such as more efficient fans and turbines. I was reading about it in an engineering journal a while back. It's interesting how we're still learning from adaptations found in nature.

Heck yeah! Every day. I've got it mounted flush with the pillar, staggered right above the RPD. I've got the wire going into the dash near the door frame and feeding to the OBDII from the back, with the excess wrapped and tucked away out of sight. It works fantastic.

So I read only the first 10 pages becuase I'm on my iPad and it's slow to use so I'm looking for someone to shed light on my question.
The 2860 wheel upgrade, what are the tuned horsepower gains? Has anyone done a direct comparrison over stock for example.
Can this mod be done without re tuning the car, or like in my case, GMS1.
Reasons I want this are simple, I basically retain my warranty (tehehe) and get a performance increase, but secondly, when I do tune my car il have more to look forward to in the power AND durability factors of the upgraded turbo.
Anyone wanna help? I emailed him and he said it should work fine on a stock tune, which is good news but also concerning lol, I would expect any hp claims (10-20hp) to require a tune. But who knows, it's a small diffrence from stock..
