I am. Performance Autowerks is my choice, which means as soon as I can afford my engine, they will be able to show a high power engine.

Anyway, for the record, here is the build I'm planning (dreaming lol) to do:

Pwerks long block $ 5,350
Pwerks 2.1 setup $ 300
GMPP NBS $ 473
ZZP cams with fuel lobe $ 850
Race port and polish $ 750
ATI SFI balancer $ 420
Ferrea valves .1mm $ 400
Ferrea springs with titanium $ 800
Walbro hpfp $ 200
ZZP 5th injector kit $ 500 (but I remember Omiotek telling me that they also have a 5th injector kit)
Darton sleeves $ 685 (if I decide to sleeve the engine)
Probably I will swap my 5557 with a 6262

Plus I will have to probably do my tranny.

If your going to go with a 5th injector do the one Pwerks offers. I just had mine installed, they should start tuning it next week. After seeing both the one that I have is better IMO

That will happen. I don't know when because this build will cost me a fortune, but it will. So far I have about $ 5k aside for the engine, and since I sold my other car I will be able to save money quicker. I also have to figure out how much a staged tranny will cost me.

Finally! there may be less zzp nutswinging

Never directly bought anything from pwerks but mattnis a great guy. I had some paint questions multiple times and he always gave me a well thought out answer and called me to explain himself. Couldn't imagine the customer service of purchasing something.

I know, I have to do some powdercoating jobs too, and I'm waiting to send him the car to get it done

I only posting this her because I know Omiotek is active on this thread.

With your turbo header what intake can you run? Could also help you a bit to figure out which one you need if you run that, assuming you will.

Well I specifically have this one,
The Home of WERKSracing products!.
Have yet to install the kit yet so I'm just wondering if there's an intake that works without modification.

But is this for the stock turbo? Or it goes with the bigger turbo upgrade?

It's an EFR 6758, not a ZFR just a regular housing.

Maybe the best thing to do is to ask Omiotek if it would work

Are you using the intake and CP that goes with the stock turbo?

I have that turbo manifold with an EFR 6758 not installed yet for a 2.2, I've got an Treadstone intake but would sell it if I know there is an intake made for that setup.

I think your best bet would be to ask Omiotek, I really don't know about it

Not true. Vendors should build their own engines and cars to test concepts so they can accurately tell a customer what they can expect.

I see a lot of people who are, no offense here, but clueless about modifying cars. It's not easy. Just because someone does it, doesn't mean you know what's going on behind the scenes. Often we post about how easy something is because we want to portray it as such for marketing and promotion. It makes your company look good. What a lot of people don't see is a lot of ideas that didn't pan out, problems you ran into that had to be overcome. ZZP is clearly on top when it comes to Ecotecs and I would not tell someone we can do something if we haven't done it yet. 100% of the time you will have problems. In this case, we're talking about a build with parts from several vendors and companies. When things fail it's hard to hold anyone accountable. It's all too easy for a company to say 'company xyz's part failed so we can't warranty your $10,000 engine'. This happens a lot with us and we get hate mail but we can't do anything about it.

ZZP went to 900WHP, that was a while ago. We often develop about 1 year in advance of what you guys see. Gen 4 engines, custom lifters for high lift cams, fueling solutions that have not been posted about. Etc. All these are here and being worked on. We develop, then test, finally release when we can promise something. Thinking you can do something and selling it as such is dangerous. I think we could do 1200 WHP. I do. But I wouldn't sell that because we haven't proved and tested it yet. Now if you want 600? Piece of cake. We know what parts to use, how to set it up, and have tested for years.

I can see why op might make this choice. Since he is their test build I assume he would get a really nice price in exchange for a probably slower build because of the issues that are bound to occur with a 1st time build of this level for them. And hopefully once the bugs are worked out he will end up with a quality finished level product.
