clicking noise when boosting

i have a clicking noise when into boost hard just noticed it the other day i went hard on the gass in first and there was a backfire then i noticed it started clicking

it goes away when the car is warmed up so it cant be that bad? but it didnt do it before

anyone have a solution?

Sounds like an exhaust leak

Some have reported a clicking at boost that ended up being a bad injector o-ring. Do you park your car in a garage? Does it smell like fuel if you do?

I have the same problem my car has been at the dealer over two weeks and they cant find the problem.

slowc6 – please let me know what happens at the dealership. If they can’t find a fix, I’d be happy to set up a case with Chevrolet Customer Assistance so they can look into it further.

Have they actually contacted GM Tech or are they sitting there spinning their wheels? Two weeks is a bit ridiculous, I had my motor torn down, valves replaced, motor re-assembled and back in my hands in a week. Two weeks of no progress shouldn't be acceptable.

They said they been in contact with GM trying to find the problem they replaced the belt and put on a brand new turbo but the sound is still there.

why were the valves replaced maybe thats my problem.

Here's the link to my symptoms, clicking wasn't one of them except occationally on start-up I would get a horrible "clacking" that was the valvetrain, but it would subside within a few seconds:

This is probably the absolute last thing I would have them check, though all they need to do is pull the MAP, put a scope into the manifold and check of carbon build-up. Mine was horrendous.

mine used to do that.....untill I put a catless downpipe and did a retune....I don't know if it has to do with heat...but its stop doing it
