The only individual options should be a LSD , seat color choice ( u dont pay extra for the good seats now) , sunroof , polished wheels , the big spoiler and the typical GM accessories.....everything else is standard . The Brembo's are standard in the Cobalt unlike the HHR which their optional .

Are they going to have a Tire Pressure Monitoring System?

bah with the no lift shift feature..... I dont need a computer to help me with WOT shifting i do just fine........ now the transmission is something they need to address cause it doesnt seem to like it. Blowing 3rd gear and having to buy a new transmission is no fun lol... Im sure silverss/sc will agree with me on that one lol

It will still lose... But not as much as the SS/SC's would. But it's faster than the old SRT-4 & the new SRT-4. So, it's a step closer... Considering since stock SS/SC's are slower than the old one, but I don't know about that new one....

You can't state that claim till the car actually hits the dragstrip. I mean **** there aren't even any Caliber SRT4 times from the strip yet.

Edit : Caliber SRT4 ran a 14.1@99 at HRP last night. Where's HRP? **** if i know

True... But

"But we believe Dodge when it says that the SRT-4 will get to 60 mph in "the low 6-second range." "
Source is below:
http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...ticleId=122412

Averages:

A stock SS/SC will get to 60 in about 6.1 seconds...
A stock SRT-4 neon will get to 60 in about 5.4 seconds...

Seems like the Caliber SRT-4 & SS/SC are about even...

Don't believe the bullshit dodge was putting out there.

CSRT4's are dynoing anywhere from 260-281whp bone stock woth 300whp coming with light mods.

Exactly, I pulled off a 14.2 @ 100mph with a SS/SC stock. I think the SS/TC will be a high 13 second car stock. I can only assume though, I like the idea of this new TC but it still has the same basic tranny as the SC right? Only differance is the no lift shift. Is the clutch the same? If the tranny issues and clutch issues were not fixed on the 08 the TC will have the same problems as the SC.

Wow... if you guys think that a this is going to be a killer car on the stock turbo, these gonna be alot of disappointed people this spring.

From the Solstice forums;
From what Hahn tells up the OE snail can only get ya a max crank hp of 300.
Happy trails.

Brembo 4 pots are NOT an option on the HHR SS. Options for the Balt SS will include as you stated, LSD, color choice on seats(complimentary), paint color choice, sunroof, I believe the standard wheel IS the polished wheel, two spoiler options, and the 6 disc CD.

Yes all 2008's have TPMS, its federally mandated.

Yes the production car will have a Stabilitrac button as the system is now on the Balt and standard on the TC

Do some research, there are Euro companies getting 315hp from TUNES.

Wow... 15HP more at the crank from a tune... tell us something we haven't already figured out....
Bottom line, the factory turbo maxes out pretty close to 300HP at the crank. And don't try to argue it... unless you think that engine is some kind of efficiency monster.

And on top of everything.... to call Hahn a liar like that takes some pretty big *****...
(In other words, I'd like to see a link here)

Last time I checked 15hp one way or another in a 2.0 liter was a big deal.

Bottom line, the factory turbo maxes out pretty close to 300HP at the crank.
Oh, now its just pretty close and we are playing semantics?

First I never called Mr.Hahn a liar by any stretch of the imagination, the Hahns have done amazing things with GM engines and offer awesome products, but that doesnt mean that I would sacrifice about 5% peak horsepower instead of simply buying a product from the other side of the "pond" if it were available.
Which by the way, it is

I agree it is time for them to offer a GPS/NAV system from the factory. I plan on just switching my Z1 into the new car unless my wife still planes on keeping the SS/SC for herself.

OMFG...
That looks like the dyno charts GM releases... picture perfect and great for selling a product, but proves absolutely nothing

And in the end... you pretty much said liar, being that I quoted the Solstice forums, and you started to cut that down. Hence, by saying that I 'need to do my homework', your in turn saying that Hahn obviously didn't... wow... sounds like your cutting them down to me...

And, the whole point of me posting that in the first place was to tell people that from factory, it's not a super-duper race machine that will blow away everything it meets at a redlight.... it's still capped off on the stock turbo. So all the bandwagon jumpers aren't disappointed at the fact that it's not much better than the SC'd car they had before.
It's also common knowledge that most of the fast turbo cars out there are running an upgraded turbo... DSM's, SRT's, etc.... So who gives a **** if you can squeak and extra 15HP at the crank out of the factory snail? Upgrade the friking turbo and carry on.

7 tenths isn't exactly equal.. that is a loooooooong time when we're talking about racing.
