Copying a tune / Spare ECM

Copying a tune / Spare ECM
Does HP Tuners have a way to copy a tune so dealer can tune back to stock to analyze what they think is a problem with coolant temps, We have EFI Live at work and it is flash only. Also can I get a spare ECM with a stock tune and will the car run ok with 3-bar sensors, down pipe and CAI?

I can tell you right now a stock tune won't run properly with 3bar sensors. HPTuners can pull the tune and you can save it to your computer but the other party will need to have HPT to read it. Also there have been some problems in the past with HPT not wanting to read correct values from other tunes, especially the handheld ones.
What is your problem with coolant temps? The people here can sometimes be more useful than a dealer.

Coolant temps running higher than normal, occasional 230-240, installed new LDK after porus block issue this past spring with LNF, tried everything under the sun to purge air from system even installed new radiator and thermostat. In desperation took to Dealership to do the vac n fill process, this helped but temps were still higher than they thought should be, said new water pump would fix it ($750 installed). Temps still higher than normal but better and temp has occasional un-stable periods, suspect still air in system. They say they have to rule out the tune and put to stock configuration to assess further. Normal temp for LNF with same tune was between 194-198 and stable.

Yeah I noticed that with my new LDK. temps were up the ass all the time when I put it back together and was on 91. It was always 195-210. Fixed cooling system, got the air out and went on E and I'm always in the 180's.

Six gear- sorry to hear that, it shouldn't be that hard to put an engine in and expect the cooling system to work properly. I hope the dealer has given you a price break on some of the work.

They knocked off 10%, the bill was orginaly over $800. I was told by service manager that if this didn't fix it there would be no charge. When I went back to pick up car a week later he said drive it a few days to see how it does before you pay, they had a high temp of 221, the day I drove it I got to 223, this is in 40 deg weather and cruise control set on level ground. I called service manager back after a couple days and they said he no longer worked there so now I am dealing with a new manager. I now have a high temp of 234. I drive about 35 miles through rolling hills on a 2 lane and temps through that area stay about 214 which is higher than what I think is normal but they are constant, when I get on the 4-lane (another 25 miles), level ground after 5 miles temp will climb to around 230 then within a couple miles be back to 218 then in another couple miles walk back up to 230 and continue this till I get to work (60 miles all together). Usually going home temps hardly get over 210 the whole trip. I say there is still air in the system.

Did u replace the temp sensor with different one? I don't see why a tune would cause temps to go that high on normal driving. Unless it's a real shitty tune. Like ridiculously shitty.

I put 6K miles on LNF after purchase with this tune in it(25-26 psi), temps ran between 194-198 no CEL's. Tried to contact previous owner but he would not respond so I don't know what kind of tune in it. After spanking an RT Challenger 4 times the next morning I had a low coolant light and long story short, porus/cracked block. LDK was a complete engine minus the intake and exhaust manifold so thermostat, temp sensor and water pump were new. Fans always kick on at 194.
