Current Value 2008 SS with 89,000 miles....

I never thought about selling my tuner but I came across a very cheap lease this afternoon for a new boring cruze. ($70/month for 24 month/20,000 miles).

I haven't been active on the forum in a while so I am not sure what kind value these cars have.

Original Owner
2008 Cobalt SS
GMS1
89,000 miles
LSD, 6 disc, and sunroof
Continentals DW 30-40% of tread remaining.

The cobalt is now 7 years old, while I love driving it, It will need some work soon(battery maybe a clutch in year or two). It would be missed but I also have two cars that are more fun.

The cruze will be boring to drive but it great A-B car and it will need nothing.

What kind of sub frame connectors do you have? Also the cars aren't holding very good value right now and it really depends on your area and the rarity of them around you. Yours is fairly low miles for age so I would guess it's around 8-9 but if someone wants it bad who knows. I would start at 10-11 due to 1 owner.

I forget the company that produced them. They were very popular with the Ion's at the time.

They were a nice upgrade but if I sell the car I will remove them.

This post is exactly right. Very region dependant.

Lots of real young guys complain about not having rwd or a V8. But there is no car made, even the newest ones that is as quick, gets as good as gas mileage, handles as good, stops well, and is fairly cheap to fix. If you have a good low mileage one as low as the resale is on them I would keep it until it falls apart. Great car for something that sold for like 20k new.
A lot of the guys who sell them find out just how good they had it but thought the grass was greener on the other side. I've had v8 rwd muscle car type cars most of my life and the only one the cobalt couldn't smoke was my street/strip nova.

I agree for the most part. I still enjoy having the cobalt as a DD but I realize it is seven years old and it will start nickel and diming me soon. Battery, rear brakes, clutch in a year or two.

An extremely cheap lease deal poped up that i had to take advantage off and I am spoiled because I have a few cars that are faster than my cobalt.

Not trying to thread jack here lol and I know this is a little random

I'm gonna start of by saying I love suspension and handling period lol, I am curious to what these subframe connectors are that you have?

The only ones I don't own or haven't tried YET is the ultraracing subframe braces, Reason being when I contacted them the parts weren't or aren't made for another 6 months at the time and then it would take another 6-8 weeks to get them here from Malaysia where they are made, and they wanted me to pay before they even produce them so I said screw that lol for now...

Anyways kinda regarding my short story my point is this, Is this what you have and if so have you noticed a difference ? Please pm me or post your response? If someone else see this and has them could you please pm me or post you opinion on them?

The only other subframe connector or brace that I have seen is the twin subframe connector made by coppertop, Yes it works.

Lastly Nova if you are interested in the subframe brace or want one and bri2203 doesn't want to sell his/hers msg me and I can get you into contact with a seller for the twin subframe brace.

Possibly, Is it the under car rails that you speak of ?

If so those are actually next on my list and the harness bar that he sells too, I have been told that both of these help as well for stiffening up the car.
