I used Mobil 1 once in a Grand Prix GTP and I could swear the engine noise increased. I had seen this mentioned before also, but it is a bit odd.

BTW, it's oil change time and I was at Walmart tonight and got a jug of Platinum. Ultra was $28 and, like I figured, it seems to have caused Platinum to drop down from $23 to $20.50.

Pennzoil Platinum was at $4/qt for the longest time.

Ultra seems to be a 15k mile type oil.

I get my oil changes by Firestone every 3500 miles they service my Government Vehicle's also they charge me $40 they use:

Kendall GT-1 Ultimate Synthetic Motor Oil

I have 3 oil changes and no problems!!
