Horrible Suspension Noise!

2008 Cobalt SS/TC 119k miles

I am getting this horrible suspension noise whenever I drive over any bumps. It has to be cold thou. For some reason it's only in the winter time and I've delt with it for the past two winters I'd say. I don't know to describe the sound, almost like a door creaking open. Its getting worse and its honestly embarrassing to hear when someone else is in the car. Sounds like its about to fall apart lol I want to fix it but im not sure what it is. I don't think its the struts thou. It still rides fine, just sounds like ****! Im considering buying these and was just curious as to if anyone else has had this problem.

CABs and sway bar bushings. Struts could be blown also at 120K miles.

Gotta take them off and take the coils off and see if they stay compressed when you compress the. Do the cabs and sway bar bushings first.

Saw those. Do you think they would be worth it? Like 100$ more. And I was thinking you were talking about the ones in the middle of the control arm.

I think they are worth it and yes while you are at it all the control arm bushings and sway bar bushings should be replaced.

Ok thank you. One more question since you look like frequent user of this site. I am trying to sell some of my stock parts in the classified section and its not letting me post. It says I do not have permission which I assume is because I am new user. Is there something I could do to prove that I am trust worthy lol

You can sort of tell if the struts are blown by standing in front of the car, pushing it down a bunch of times to get it bouncing and then let go. If it doesnt stop itself after 2-3 strong haults, and is boucy, they are blown.
