So is this thing really that much better than the Hahn intake or is it all hype? Because I'm ready to order and now the K&N is like 30 bucks more than Hahn. I'm getting a custom tune soon so i need to buy one of these fast. Does the Hahn one sound just as good?

oh just wait. I dont drive my car much at all so it took it a while (week or so) but after it learns it...you can tell/feel a slight difference. Now at even slight gas pedal movement you can hear the bpv and turbo spool. sucker is loud. I heart this intake
Hey did your maf sensor plug almost touch the heat shield?

Just to give a heads up, Fuel trims still fluctuate with temp and humidity changes. Today is a very humid and hot day... my ltft's went to -5.4%. Im pretty sure the big factory in the change is humidity.
I wonder how a tuned car copes with atmospheric changes?
oh and no -5.4% is a bad thing, lol. no CEL's to date.
and I ran a 14.02 @ 103.66mph at the track last friday. <- Im netting higher traps and faster E.T.'s!
2nd run I had was a 14.026 @ 102.5mph
3rd run was a 14.185 @ 104.04mph
here is a video from a crappy cell phone... you can hear the stock BPV at 0:06 after the tire squeel. This is against a stage 2 cobb tuned 08' wrx. I won :p

previous best time was a 14.28 @ 101.5mph.

Awsome update.......Im still considering this as an option.
any ideas on the STFT's in the hotter weather?
Does anyone know the shifts in stock fuel trims? In weather changes etc......
Like your positioning on the filter put you to a point when it was cooler to about + - 3%
does stock move approx the same amount?

Okay I've been looking to buy this part for about 30 mins now, but when I go to K&N's website it shows it as cold air intake, but the photo looks identical to the picture shown by the OP.
Is part number 69-4518TTK indeed the Short Ram intake shown by the OP, or is this the pic shown by the OP considered a CAI, either way I want an Intake that has the filter in the engine bay not down like AEM's intake.
