Good idea. I'm going to do that. It's 2.5" at that part right?
As for why they won't fix it, no idea. I bought the pipe second hand so I doubt they'll even consider doing anything for me. I'm buying a coupler to do it your way and I'll get the OTTP lower in the future.

Yes it's 2.5. I bought a big 90 degree coupler, 10" on both sides, so I basically had a lot of choice on how much I wanted to cut the pipe off.

KY charge me $80 shipped for a full rebuild on my clutch. They charge $150 if they send you a new TOB as well.
OTTP Stainless Steel Clutch Line.
Fits like a glove and installs in seconds since the car is already apart.
Highly recommend this part; especially when you already have the trans pulled anyways.
I will do a full review on this part like I do with all of the "on the fence" parts people always seem to ask, "is it worth it?" once I have the clutch bled.

Everything is back together except for my passenger side. I am awaiting a knuckle from Mongo to finish that.
Supacharged06's car is still sitting. I think we are going to pull the bad block and trans out the weekend after christmas. He received his gen 3 2.1 from Mongo and LSJion finished his built head. We are going to install the entire motor and trans together from the bottom. Should be fun times.

Emailed ZZP.
As if the improper fit wasn't enough, it get worse.
Walking into my house I notice a sheered off bolt on my floor. I looked around some and find that the MAP sensor bolt snapped off. Awesome. Car never even ran yet the sensor sheered the bolt head off. The MAP port was too tight and the pressure from the seal trying to slide back out snapped the bolt clean off.
So, basically, I now have a pile of scrap I paid way too much money for. I can't even get the stupid thing out either since I installed it with the subframe out. No matter how I turn it, it is not coming out. Tips? I really just want to throw this thing in the trash/send it to ZZP and get something different.

I decided that instead of paying $50 for a coupler to make this piece of **** fit, I am going going to cut it in half and spend $5 on a regular straight coupler instead.
Still have to retap all of the holes since the threads pulled out though.
And now I have Bill Hahn telling me that MAF relocates are bad for the car and that the MAF cannot handle the pressure or heat from being inside the charge pipe.

Been bouncing emails back and forth with Zoomer @ ZZP about the charge pipe, hopefully they can make it right for me some how.
For now I am going to install the stock charge pipe again and wait. I want to see what ZZP says before I go cutting up the pipe.
Clutch is gravity bleeding right now and will be vacuum bled after work. Filling the trans, installing fuse box, and hopefully getting an answer from Mongorat about my knuckle. All I need is that knuckle to have the car back on the ground.
Also, the LSJ is sold. I kept the wheels and gave it up for $6500 cash. Go figure the car realizes it is sold and popped ABS this morning. DS rear wheel bearing so I am going to replace that for the new owner.
