No-Lift Shift..
So I have been wanting to try it for awhile... I have been babying the car "don't know why"
on the way home I decide it's time to give no lift shift a try, now... I think I did it?
I'm not exactly sure because what it sounds like from most people is the car should make two pops while shifting... mine didn't make a sound.....

it wont pop all the time, mine did at first but now it usually doesnt. It worked though right? you made it to the next gear, didnt lose much boost? or did the cel come on, power cut and you yelled at yourself for missing it?

When you've been driving a manual all your life, and you've ingrained it into your brain that you must lift, it's a bit nerve wracking to try.
You don't have much time to get it to work right. You need to be above 6k, and you may or may not hear a pop. Probably more evident if you're catless with an aftermarket exhaust. On the stock setup, I don't always hear it pop. The best way to know is to datalog, and just concentrate on driving. If your log shows that boost dropped, you know it didn't work. If it stayed, you did it correctly.

That little feature that they put in is amazing, the car just keeps pulling...
Kind of funny... everyday on the way home from work at the last intersection it's usually empty all ways.. so I always just turn of traction control and nail it.. speed limit is 80kph.. I always stop accelerating once I get to the first little hill "so I don't go overboard with speed/ get a ticket"
When I get to that spot everyday it's been around 95-105kph... today with the no lift shift I managed to get to 130 at the same SPOT.. and man can you feel the difference!

I NLS every gear in my HHR when I drive hard, but its a little easier on the clutch since we have 4.05 gears instead of 3.82s I guess. My clutch works great except when I tried running a .035 pill from 2k(my own fault since that will spike 30psi).
I NLS every gear in my HHR SS. I guess it's a little easier on the clutch since we have 4.05 final gears vs your 3.82s. The only time my clutch ever slipped was when I punched it from 2k in 3rd with the .035 pill which will spike 30psi. Thats my own fault though. I am tuned by BYT also, still NLS all the time, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. I don't go fast enough to try shifting to 5th under WOT.

Not fully sure? Can't see there being that much difference between a very very fast shift and shifting fast with nls... modded or not
