yeah what sucks too is I got it in NY and I live in CT and they got some program implemented where I had to pay 531 up front within like 2 weeks or something, and the remaining 300 I had to pay $100 a year for three years. this way every year when i had to pay the next 100 it was like a "reminder". It worked lol.

I power shift just fine if I want to with the s/c, this nls thing is kind of a waste in my eyes. about the linkage thing, we have a nylon linkage. yes...plastic. it's there with some roll pins so you don't end up with 3rd 4th and 5th on the ground.

When I used to be on the grand prix club in ohio, we had as guy get nailed for doing 95 in a 35, don't know that the damage was on that but he was able to keep his license

I used to have a '97 GTP with a ZZP Built trans with a 3200 stall converter and faster gears, Intense Stage 1X Cam, TOG Silver Ceramic Headers, 3 inch downpipe, no cat, Milzy Motorsports Exhuast, 3.2" Pulley, larger injectors, fuel pumpl, intake, a bunch of stuff amd the best run I got out of it was a 13.38 at 104.

Its not the linkage or the roll pins that are the issue, they are plenty strong unless you are retarded, I NLS lots of F35s, and I NLS my 2.2 without a WOT box or tune or anything, and ive never had any issue with the linkages, or the gears....BUT I make about 200lbs less torque than this car does.

The issue isnt anything other than this trans isnt designed to be NLS'd with 350+torque, if youre tuned stop doing it/consider yourself warned.

if you shift quick enough, you can get a mini NLS to where you don't lose boost. I do this stock. The only time I NLS is at the track.

In a SC ...yep it's a waste , for the turbo car's ....it helps alot. Even thou the k04 is small it still takes a second to spool if speed shifted .

i wonder how much of a waste it is tho since you dont loose boost when you shift nls, if that makes sense being a sc car. you dont build it so to speak like a turboed car, but you still have to build it in a sense?

An SC only has to wait for the bypass to close ...which is some much quicker than re spooling a turbo. I can't remember now but if you power shift an SC ....the bypass might not have a chance to even open all the way before it's closing again.

The stage kit (if ever released ) is going to bring it awfully close to that boundary though...if stage 1 is 320lb-ft (or so) and stage 2 might bring it up 10 to 15, we're still cutting it so close that I'm now wondering if we should all be concerned when and if we do go with it?

Well, they actually added NLS to the cars that didn't already have it as a part of the kit, so I imagine it must be legit... and with enough safety tolerance for them to be comfortable adding it to begin with.

After seeing what happened to Maven..I wouldn't do it even with the "warrantied" Stage kit...They will say ABUSE faster than you can say "All I did was shift into 3rd and..."

Repost.

Actually, there really was a thread that had that exact debate in it when somebody got their warranty turned down when their turbo bit it. They blamed it on the fact the guy NLS'd, which was BS, because it's unrelated.

That's what I say too. That picture of the manual you've probably seen posted a few times on here is my picture. I uploaded it to prove that turning down warranty work for NLS is.. well.. BS.
