Hey everyone just in a thready mood today dont mind me in the house bout to go work on Star Bright (my yellow SS lol) but i see alot of ppl on here with modified SS's but the stock wheels i have them on as well but i heard its hard as **** to find wheels for the 4dr. Is there a reason why eveyone is deciding to run stock wheels?

Yeah it's not the fact that its a 4 door. It's because the SS have a 5x110 bolt pattern and the lower trim models has a 4x100.

The factory wheel is better than most aftermarket and unless your going wider it will probably be a down grade.

Not only the bolt pattern... Rims on the Lnf have to clear the brembos or run spacers

What he said. Most aftermarket wheels are heavier. Why downgrade?

Yeah the LNF wheels are good performance wheels. You gotta spend a lot of money to get ones that are better.

our stock wheels look better than most of the **** out there. the stock ss/sc wheels can fit 235 tires, adn the ss/tc wheels can fit 245.

Most aftermarkets weight slightly more . Small selection. Anything better cost 1 g plus (enkei oz ect).

245's on a 7.5" wheel is pretty sketchy.

Stupid question.

How is it all the guys with Evos, Audis, etc etc with even larger brembos get around that? Are all of them running spacers?

5x110 sucks. 5x114.3 ftw. Have your hubs and rotors redrilled by a shop for a cheap solution to a bolt pattern change. Then get a good set of wheels. The Stock TC wheels are some of the lightest and strongest wheels available in a 5x110 pattern, with OZ Ultraleggarras, allegritas, Forgestar F14 and CF5, and Enkie PF01s being the only better options for 5x110 IMO. Many of the big brand aftermarket wheels will clear the brembos calipers if they don't have a lip on them.

Not just all about running spacers. They have access to a lot more wheels, with better offsets, and part of it is running a convex wheel, that will open out around the brakes.

different offeset and wider wheels. When I get new wheel I'll probably be getting a 9.5" +23 ish wheel. Some still do require small spacers.

you could just get some custom made rims and wait 15-20 weeks for em like i did.

on a side note if i mess up a rim from a pothole or something im screwed for a few months. lol.

I believe powell race shop can do a conversion kit, would be worth asking. Re drilling will be much cheaper though.

Sketchy? No

You can put 245's on the ss/sc if you want.

245's on the stock ss/tc wheels is nearly perfect if you are looking for traction.

I run 235s on my SS/SCs and it meets up perfect. I'll be running 245/35 next change.

I re-drilled the hubs for Blazin07SS's car, came out really nice. Opens up a whole new level of rim choices.

This^ although if you're putting 245 on stock ss/sc wheels it is gonna be difficult getting them mounted and sealed.
