The stock LNF wheels are forged, and are very durable. That having been said, I personally switched to 2 sets of Enkei PF01. One for street, and another with shod with R compounds for the track.

Yea but those are for show... they look cool enough but I want a set of Gram Lights for my car... maybe I'll do a hub conversion next year.

I run Ace: Concept 5 wheels 18x8 with a 245/45r18 Hankook RS3 works well. Although I did rub on the passenger side once at full lock on a speed bump... which sucked

My Motegi's are lighter than my stock wheels and I autocrossed with them all last season.... How is that "for show"?

Because your car is slow which makes it all show

not for nothing but i would rocc those rims more in texas than here in NY, dont really consider my car slow but it is lol looking for a slighty wider tire though. not now but near future those motegi's look good though. IMO!! do not kno bout tracking with them / do you use stock pads to track or hawks?

I prefer my stockers. I drive the 2LT model though, so they're not the SS wheels, but still look better that most stuff i've looked out. Some guy at my work drives a hyundai tiburon and likes to talk trash about my Cobalt and Vette. Says my stock wheels on my Cobalt are too heavy, and that I haven't done any performance stuff to my Cobalt or Vette and that he can smoke me in both my cars.

Just to clear things up. TC wheel with no weights or TPMS is 20-20.5 lbs.

a couple guys are running varrstoen (the knockoffs) with adapters so their offset is rediculous. DOMDOTCOM was the first one shortly followed by others like 1LSJ2NV.

anyway, to run a te-37 type wheel while still clearing brembos you need about a +23 offset or so. i may be off. i was contemplating going that route before but i was going to do it the right way (no adapters n shyt) then i decided id get something thats not a knock off.

I have a set of LM reps 5X110 with +40 offset 18X8 inch. I think it's going to clear the brakes, my car is in the shop and I will be trying them on by next week. I do not want to put spacers cause I track my car. maybe only 3mm. But yea, on my stock SS/TC rims. I have 255/40/18 front and 245/40/18 in rear. I'm lowered too, no rubbing or anything.

It is slow. I thought if I hit 300whp with my car I wouldn't need or be able to put down any more power. Now that I hit my goal I'm very disappointed.
Unless you're at 400whp it's not that special

Stock ss/tc wheels are amazing. Light weight+looks. I will never have the need for aftermarket wheels on this car (besides winter). They show off the brembo's nicely aswell, but show too much of the tiny calipers on rear

Not worth the cost/time/hassle. Rear brakes don't do as much anyway, paint them black to match the front brembo's would be nice though.

Our cars are 4piston up front 1piston in back right?

We're talking TC wheels here, not SC.
