PIX (2009 RPD+minor interior options/changes)
Ok.. first off, I apologize for the quality of these pics. One.. they are from my cell phone (3 megapixel). Secondly.. it was 3 PM this afternoon with a 90 degree sun directly above us.. beaming right down in through the windshield. Figured I would snap a few anyways before I forgot.
Ok.. This first one is of the G-Force screen on the RPD Unit.. also shows your speed.
I don't really need to describe these pics.. they are self-explanatory. ENJOY!
I will explain this next pic a bit. I just wanted to show the USB port on the left (100$ option) that includes the AUX 9mm jack port on the right side.
This is the Microphone that you use for the standard Bluetooth + Onstar.. which by the way works great (bluetooth)
Right side steering wheel buttons ( i believe left side is same as 08) But I just wanted to display the "talk/Phone" button you use with the bluetooth
EDIT 12:17am-here is a link to a video I just made- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRcxFdNGAlQ

My HTC 8990 (AT&T Tilt) Works.. Im sure by now 99% of phones will connect. If you have bought a smart phone that has been released in past year.. you will have it.
its Bluetooth v2.0.. if that means anything. My phone was easy as hell to connect.. sound is clear on both ends... The most badass thing I found out was... through bluetooth voice commands.... I can say "Voice".. and it will automatically.. somehow access my voice dialing program on my Smartphone... and I just say the VoiceTag I have stored for any of my #s.
I am a cynical and critical person by nature. And to be honest... once I actually got the car.. the RPD grows on ya and it wasn't as bad as I expected. Its not as big as you would think. I love it...but I do agree... could be sweeter. Me thinks this was R&Ded and developed very fast for the 09s.. Im satisfied with it!

P.S. - Glad everyone is enjoying the pics.
P.S.S.- If I get the energy tonight or tomorrow morning.. I will take a picture of the screen where you can set up your shift lights for each gear.... Its sweet. I set mine for breaking in the engine yesterday.. You set a low and a high for each gear in 100 RPM increments.
If you look at the picture on the RPD above.. where it shows you what gear you are in on the right along with lines and an arrow ( See the very first picture above) The lines light up from green.. to yellow to red.
First turns green as soon as you hit your set "low" point... yellow as you get toward your set "high" shift point.. and then red at the top when your at your max shift point.
I have mine set to 33300 low on all gears.. and like 4300 high for all gears.. might have put 5th gear at like 4000 RPMs.. but yeah.
Dude.. Look at all the pics above.. Its the LCD screen with all the measurements.....
RPD= Reconfigurable Performance Display.
Besides the pictures of the stereo and microphone... those are the RPD.
One thing tho.. when your headlamps are on.. or your fog/parking lights are on toward evening... the RPD unit dims out a lot.. and if you got the low 7 Pm 8PM orange sun beaming through.. very hard to see... The pics above you can tell have sun hitting them.. but thats full brightness.
There is however a nice contrast setting... I jacked mine up to contrast white-out conditions from the sun
But with that said... once its dark outside.. the dim on the RPD unit is barable to say the least.

Ted. I made this 5 minute video 15 minutes ago.. Its off my cell phone... The quality.. was horrible to begin with.. Youtube butchered it even more.
You can't even make out letters and numbers on the screen.. plus I was trying to narrate the video.
skip to the very end to see a general zoomed out view of the RPD unit.

hey congrats on finally getting the SS/TC! All the options look sweet! I'm definitely following and will be getting the RPD, USB, and Blue tooth setup on my SS/TC too!
Hope you enjoy the ride! You getting used to driving a stick yet? Pretty soon it'll come natural to you! Good luck with your balt, and most importantly enjoy driving it!

Thanks btw
FYI- On 2009s.. Blue Tooth is standard, not optional. RPD and USB are options however... USB-100$.. sooo worth it.
Check out video I posted above in case yall are missing it.

This has been asked ( if they are for 08s).. I cannot remember ever hearing anyone answer this question.
Search around... maybe visit your local dealer and try to find a service tech guy who is not a complete moron and knows about the new SS balts
if you have an 08... just get aftermarket digi gauges... they will look better.. but there are trade offs IMO.
