Reconfigurable performance display (SS/TC)
#103
Does anyone know if this will plug into the 2008's? I'm assuming it has a BCM/ECM/PCM interconnect by way of the OBDII system...

There is already a similar product out for most of the new cars and should work on the 08 TC. The tabs on the left side can give you more info on it, parameters is the one to look at.

I just ordered my 2009 SS/TC today. I am such a dummy and totally forgot to tell the dealer to add this display as an option. The order is in allready so I am going to call later today and see what I can do.
Would I be able to buy this OEM for around 300$(same as option MSRP ) ya think? Is Delphi making this display? I am kinda bummed out. I was at the dealer ready to get an 08 and was talked into the 09 and waiting for a month or whatevs and in the middle of that, I forgot about the RPD and of course because of the 09 being so new, my dealer didn't know **** about the new display and there wasn't a list of new options. Im not going to cry if I cannot get one, but I am not paying more then 300$ for it since it wouldn't be worked into the cars actual financing.

Update... I called my dealer today and had them add the new RPD option as well as the USB Radio option to my 2009 SS Coupe order I placed yesterday. Manager added them right over the phone.

Do any of the cars on the lots have this option or is it a special order option only, cause if and when i do decide to get the Cobalt SS i hate waiting for a new car. I like going to the dealer and picking one out and driving it home that same day. thanks for the info.

I can Confirm. I just placed my order last week for a 2009 SS coupe ( here in Michigan)
The USB Radio was 100$ even. Don't have the option code. But I am 110% sure you have to purchase it as an option
The Reconfigurable Performance Display is also an option for the 2009s and that ran me 295$. Think code was UAF....

The USB Radio is NOT STANDARD ON THE 2009s

The only demo of the USB radio option i have seen is people hooking up their iPods to it.....which is lame, cuz everyone knows if you are truly down and hip, you don't have a freakin iPod.
just teasing!
But really, I am assuming you can take ANY USB Thumb/Flash drive (whatever you call it) and plug it into the radio and if you have folders with MP3s or whatever on the thumb drive, you can direct it and play it through the radio?

yeah.. they were 2008's tho right? SRod?
man I cannot wait to play around with the RPD unit on my car. I cannot stop thinking about my 2009 coupe on order. I wish I could have it today!.. honestly, another 4 weeks is gunna make me go insane!
Does anyone have an updated list of the different function and modes the RPD has?
I noticed on the original post, nothing was listed for a 0-60 time and some other functions I would consider standard on a performance measuring unit.
