Come to think of it, that'd be sick! lol
But I mean come on, seriously, it isn't the sexiest thing out there but no car with this price tag has anything that compares to it.

The unit is $295 and it's in a car that costs $22k, did you want it to be integrated into a heads up display and covered in a carbon fiber bezel?
Come to think of it, that'd be sick! lol

I am sorry.. no.. I didn't want it in a carbon fiber encasing with a personalized serial # engraved on a Platinum plate on the back of it.
But hm.... it looks like its a electronics device from 1988. Instead of having 2 inches of black cheapo plastic going around the LCD display.... maybe.... 3/4 of an inch of black cheapo plastic .... its chunky looking.
my 2009, with GMS pricing came out to be around 24,000$.. so yeah. but anyways small difference.. but that not an excuse to make **** ugly when it is so obviously easy to make it look better with what you have to work with. (my suggestion above would actually CUT COST because it would be using less black cheapo plastic, saving it for the interior of most GM vehicles! )
I mean.. I for one.. don't really have a problem with the cobalt's interior like a lot of peeps complain about. But.... making that unit look better doesn't automatically lead to higher production cost. Like I said.. trim that plastic **** down.

Maybe like a Cobalt ZR1?
lol, I'm not serious about anything just trying to make a little bit of a point.
I agree it's bulky but I just don't think it's bulky enough to complain about.
Also, the reason the plastic is so big is because of the control board behind it being large not because they just wanted to make it ugly.
I agree with you though, I don't understand what people complain about with these interiors, I have a Saturn Redline, and probably going to add an 09 HHR SS to the stable, and I think my interior rocks. Only interiors I hate hate hate are those stupid dodge interiors where they put the same damn thing in every car they make.

I don't know about you but I am SO down for the carbon fiber encased one with my own personal serial number on a platinum plate!

if they made this available for the 2.2's id be all over it....if we can custom order one to work with our builds for the ones that are doing n/a or f/i builds...i would def buy one of these instead of separate guages...but then again i can get an interceptor...
