Iv been all over threads looking for a solution to taking this knob off, did not want to drill holes or mess up anything cosmetically. So i figured out a seriously easy solution to the issue... You'll need: 3 large C clamps 1 thin flat head screwdriver 1 hammer image-2372598272.jpg Then remove the entire shifter from the car, clamp the assembly by the blue part of the assembly. image-3132621316.jpg Next use the other 2 C clamps to the other clamp and secure it to the table image-2020986941.jpg After some tweaking and tightening.. Take the hammer and the screw driver, and as the substitute to trying to pull it off like a ****.. Slip the screw driver down under the knob like some instructions say.. And work it off with the hammer, tapping on either side of the knob and eventually should slip off.. image-653619665.jpg image-3255702189.jpg

Why didn't Chevy just use a twist-on knob, as has been the case since the beginning of automobile history? I mean, what...............the................****?
