This seems to finally be going somewhere.

My car is going in on Thursday for both rear rotors grooving badly. I have some grinding noise, but I only notice it when stopping from a very slow roll. I'll let you guys know what they say.

took my car in last week to have them check these grooves out. they told me that my brakes were fine and that its normal. i came back today to bring in my car cause i no there not right. they look at it and said there seems to be something wrong with your brakes those rotors arent suppose to be like that. i told them how last week u said it was fine and in one week it changed. they said my brakes where 80% worn and i have 9000 miles on it. they said my driving caused it. i told them to go **** themselves. took it to another dealer and there taking care of it now saying how thats not normal. this dealership is so much better than the other **** hole one

also went to the same dealership to get my oil changed. when i was driving on my way home i suddenly started losing boost. i couldnt boost more than 5psi. when i got home and open the hood there was oil everywhere! they left the cap off. luckily where the placed it(on the battery thing under the hood)it was still there. also they left the anti freeze thing open too.

Great Dealership:

Young Chevrolet
Layton, UT

Replacing rear pads and rotors under warranty.

They haven't actually replaced my rear brakes yet because they're waiting on parts. But they have promised they will replace the rotors and pads for the rears even though I'm at 17k miles now. They are also going to start really getting serious about fixing the misfire problem my car has had for about 6k miles now. I'll post more about that in the misfire threads.

i started noticing it at 3300 miles, my rear rotors already have alot of wear and ridge they shouldnt have right now and the rear pads are alot more worn than the fronts, no issues at all with the front rotors or anything, took it to the deal and they said my rear brakes were partially engaged from factory, they fixed it but they wont replace my rotors or anything, so im just waiting for some aftermarket slotted rotors to become available for the SS/TC and just put them on

um anyone know how much all brembo break hardware is? if it's only the back breaks hell you might aswell get matching set to match the front... can you put larger rotors on the rear? what's the best kind of rotor to use? the performance slotted ones with the lil holes r sexy. but idk how much or what a good brand is. does brembo make those too?

I want Chevrolet to have to fix this, so I took mine in today for the rear rotors being very grooved at 3400 miles. I waited for 2 hrs and the guy just hands me the stupid tech bulletin and says the wear is normal because of the high performance brake pads. I asked him why the fronts weren't doing the same and he said it's because they're Brembos. I asked him if he thought the Brembo made the pads and he looked confused. I requested the Service Manager and he gave me the same crap. Oh well, it's on record and I told him I'd be back in 4000 miles and that he was basically full of poop. I'm not going back to that dealership, though.

Contact CAC from the chevy website and open a case about your rear rotors scoring and grooving. That's pretty much what I was told and when I didn't accept that answer, they told me my car has been abused and/or raced.

abusing or racing your car will not make the inner rear pads wear out faster than anything else. Raise hell.

what kills me is that it's an SS.. which means super sport... which meants above a regurlar means of sport... which means that the rotors and pads they put on the car shouldn't be doing that **** even IF they were being abused.. and i mean ABUSED!
