Question Whining Trans?

Does anyone else have a whine in the trans/axle when rolling under 20mph? It is fairly prominent. Sounds a bit like a dry gearbox or something??
TIA

What kind of fluid is in these TC Cobalts from the factory? Can we try some synthetic fluid maybe to quiet her down? Is it the trans or the diff thats doing the lion share of whinning?

The manual says GM trans fluid part number 88862472. But I cant find anything on the web that describes what this is.

It's probably a special semi-synthetic blend. The mineral oil actually helps the gears break in and last longer. And everyone I've ever talked to about this type has told me to ONLY use exactly what is recommended, period.

It's probably $15 a quart. But isn't it supposed to last the life of the vehicle?

check media.gm.com and go to North America>Products>Car engines/transmissions

under the F35 they tell you what fluid it is, I'd look it up for you but I'm not that ambitious
