How did you hook it up? And what's the error code anyway?

I would first get a block off plate, you can re-route one of the vacuum lines to do the same but the block off plate keeps it simple and one less vacuum line to worry about.
In the end you could totally bypass the bov solenoid, it seems useless, and you can cap off the nipple near the tmap sensor since it's not used anymore by the bov solenoid. Then connect the bov directly to the intake manifold.

Is the BOV pre or post MAS? And is it hooked up properly? IE is it bleeding off when not under boost or not bleeding off when the throttle is closed?

I don't understand the need for a new BOV, with an intake and the Dejon BOV spring the sound is loud as hell, I don't want it to be any louder

and what is funny is I come from a family that has always had V8s(this is my 1st 4 cylinder as well) and my brother used to always make fun of the WRXs/Srt-4s w/ Bovs, but whenever he drives my car, he makes it pop off at every shift, lol... his response "that is an addicting sound"

We have a pull through MAF not a blowthrough MAF. To the OP what DTC is it? You need to get it read to figure out what is likely wrong.

No **** sherlock, but the placement of the BOV is crucial in any MAS equipped car. Relocate the MAS to a blow through and put the BOV inline normally, problem solved. Keep the MAS stock and put the BOV after it, there's the problem.

If it is a pull through setup of course his BOV is after the MAF. If you knew that you should not have bothered posting that question. No need to be a dick.

The problem is, I don't think the OP knows that. Thus the reason for my post.

I told you the solution in my previous post, im not sure it will 100% fix the problem but its the only choice you have other than relocating your maf after the bov.

honestly what you should do is sell the blow off valve and the pipe and go back to the factory valve.

if this is not what you want to do I suggest hooking it up like I have done and that is to leave the factory bypass valve alone except for hooking it up to a boost only source with a check valve in line to prevent boost pressure from leaking back out of the valve.

then hook the blow off valve to the spot the factory one was hooked up to on the boost control solenoid.

if this does not solve the issue then your out of luck because there is an hhr with your set-up and I don't think we ever got is to work right so I think he just ditched it.

btw I run a synapse syncrhonic on mine recirculated on the stock tune and have had no CELS.

I thought that the stock BPV was weak and needed upgrading once you start running higher boost?

not really. You can only boost as high as 23lb on the stock setup anyways. After that i believe i heard it goes into limp mode or just goes past for a second and then boosts back at 23. I personally like BOV's because you can still hear the blowoff under low boost, so i dont have to gun it to hear the blowoff

There is a reason you're losing power with an aftermarket atmospheric BOV.... because you don't need it.

Honestly, there is no need for it. Put the stock recirc bov back on and w/ an intake you'll hear the bov just fine. Even under low boost. That was the case with the LNF's I've tuned

Thats because you are stock... I can hear my BPV when just blipping the throttle in reverse even!
