Adjustable Launch control Via Hptuners

I've neglected my car lately and have put most of my concentration on my mitsubishi and subaru customers. Well today I went for a ride and decided to mess with a few tables to correct for a idle issue I was having then BAM! I had this idea.... and it worked!

There is a catch to it, but not too serious of a issue and I may have it solved. I need to do a little more testing. Right now I can change the AFR/Lambda that it revs at, and the amount of timing. So it could help spool big turbos off the line in the future.

Here is the video of a 3k rpm launch.

There is no certain table to use. It is a combination of a few tables. All of these pulls were done with ESC off.

But if your in first gear it will not work with the neutral rev limiter?

car doesnt know ur in gear unless ur moving. If you have a RPD turn it to the shift pattern page and while cruising push in the clutch. The dot that was tracking the what gear your in will disappear. The program must figure it out by using engine rpm vs wheel or tranny output shaft rpm. Then it figures what gear 1,2,3ect would give it that number

Is this basically standing rev? Is it on all the time or only when you activate launch control?

On at all times. I did the runs with esc disabled. You can check out the Hptuners thread I started to figure it out how to do it for yourself. You are basically set at that rev limiter unless you are moving. once you are moving you can rev to any rpm. T benifit of it is that you can actually retard timing at that moment kind of like a 2 step to help spool a large turbo off at the strip.

Ok cool. We have the ability to adjust the factory launch control so it only becomes active when you turn on comp mode (on the LNF) but we also have the ability to set it on the LSJ cars and even make it user adjustable using the GMS3 operating system (instead of adjusting the rev-limiter by using the gas pedal in the car, you'd be adjusting your launch control)
